Bad news for us if he lands that job. Lovie is a good coach.
Lovie has the same problem as Rex. He will put a hell of a defensive unit together but his can never get an offense going.

Our best hope is for Gamble to blow them away in the interview but let them know he wants to bring in his own head coach. Force woodys hand into firing bozo.

New York Giants’ Marc Ross to Interview for San Diego Chargers GM Position
January 3rd, 2013 at 6:30 AM
By Casey Sherman

Director of College Scouting, Marc Ross, has been a valuable member of the New York Giants staff since 2007. He has helped the Giants earn the reputation for being one of the top drafting teams in the NFL, and has helped General Manager Jerry Reese become one of the top GM's in the league. His keen eye for talent has earned him interviews for several open GM positions, the latest being the San Diego Chargers, as reported by Mike Garafolo.

"Seeing a lot of rundowns of the SD GM search that don't include Marc Ross' name. They should. He's in the mix there + will interview" Garafolo tweeted.

Aside from the Chargers, Ross has also drawn interest from the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets. Last offseason Ross interviewed to be the GM for the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears, but remained with the Giants.

Ross' contributions to the Giants organization over the last five years may go under the radar, but they have been an integral part of the Giants' success, which includes two Super Bowl Championships. He has helped the Giants draft players of the likes of Kenny Phillips, Hakeem Nicks and Jason Pierre-Paul.

Lovie Smith would be a good hire for the Bills.

Smith >>> Rex.

He went to the SB with Wrecks Grossman and was a half away from going back to the SB until Cutler hurt his knee in the NFCCG.

I'll be very surprised if the Jets either of their top two GM choices or any of the top ones for that matter that have a choice.

The Jets are a circus and have retained the head clown as coach. Manning knew it and made the wise move to t tell the jets to look elsewhere almost immediately. Any GM will choose a jacksonville over the jets.

If Andy Reid does end up talking only to the Chiefs and taking that job, to reiterate from earlier this week, GM Scott Pioli will be out

I agree. I just meant they are similiar because they are very good at fielding a D but neither can come up with a good offense.

Why would the Jets and their fans want someone who would even consider Jax over NY?

But it's true. Think rationally. You are the prospective new GM that has a few teams after you. You can go to a place that has just won 2 games or so and is in rebuild mode, no coach foisted on you and perhaps have the freedom to build as you want unfettered, or you can go to a team that has been a circus for the last year, has a horrible QB whom you are committed to for another year, has a bombastic head coach who wants power in the make up of the team.

now the one saving grace could be that Jax has a suspect owner by the sounds of it but otherwise, other than money why would you go to the jets?

wth are you talking about? Jets hate? Would you classify the Jets as a stable well run team over the past couple of years?

The people who are very critical of the jets want the team to do well as much if not more than the head in the sand types. Almost everything the 'haters' have said on here the last few years have come true. almost nothing the optimists on here have said has come true.
