I am suggesting that Tomsula would be an excellent backup plan for Gamble. And to get him to come here Gamble can tell him that. I am not saying that Gamble says that to Rex. But yes, I want Gamble to come here and establish some sort of authority. We are clearly lacking that.

Gamble is the #1 guy I wanted. I really hope we can pull him in. If we do, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. I didn't think we could land a top of the line guy with Rex still in the picture. It wasn't crazy thinking but I just felt a real GM would want his guys as most do. I'm sure Gamble still does but it will have to wait a year. Unless we have some unexpected season, Rex is gone next year anyways, so my point is why not just start fresh now.

AGAW, you were right in the fact that Rex here wouldn't be an issue. Trust me, even though I didnt share that opinion, I'm 100% thrilled I was wrong.

I still think Rex should be canned since 95% chance this is his last season anyways.

This is what I like the most...

This is one of the best teams in the NFL without the QB. That's what I look for. Can you build a team even though you don't have a "francise QB"
