So I'm in Lower Westchester County. Where is the nearest place I can travel to to place a (legal) NFL bet. I think I can answer my own question and say Mohegan Sun, but I hope I'm wrong. Thanks in advance

I believe Delaware, Nevada, maybe Montana(?) are the only states that allow legal sports betting.

Maybe not Montana.

Wow, did not realize it was that restricted. Sounds like something our gov't needs to open up to help deal with our current issues.

I hate the online sites because you can't cash out without a million restrictions

I copied this from Wikipedia:
Nevada is the only state where casino-style gambling is legal statewide. Both state and local governments impose licensing and zoning restrictions. All other states that allow casino-style gambling restrict it to small geographic areas (e.g., Atlantic City, New Jersey or Tunica, Mississippi), or to American Indian reservations, some of which are located in or near large cities. As sovereign nations, American Indian tribes have used legal protection to open casinos, which has been a contentious political issue in California and other states. In some states, casinos are restricted to "riverboats", large multi-story barges that are, more often than not, permanently moored in a body of water.

This season I did business with two different books that took action by internet and phone and which had a local account manager who I met and either got paid by or I paid. Both e crapped out though, most recently on Monday. Just another pain in the ass.

I always thought bookies were legal since all the cops bet with them. Who knew?

Is that Ben Vereen in your Avatar ? I saw him on stage years ago in Pippin. He was very talented and a great entertainer. Just curious why. He is a great role model.

Montana only has electronic type gambling. We were speed limitless for a few years but now have a 75. I get away with 80 on the interstate.

For legal, unrestricted betting on NFL games, you are limited to Nevada. There, you can go to a sports book and place a straight up bet on a game, or a prop bet.
In Delaware, there are funky rules. Through last year, you were only allowed to bet parlays. I know that they were attempting to change that rule...I know that the NFL (among others) was fighting it. I don't know if they were successful in getting this changed.
There is nothing like being in a Vegas sports book during an NFL playoff game, whether you gamble or not. With every first down, you have hordes of people cheering or groaning. A few years ago, I was there during a Packers game. When they scored in the 4th quarter to cover the "over", it was like New Years Eve in Times Square!

Yeah, I like him. Inspired by the pats drafting Shane Vereen.
