Peterson is such a beast. The Vikings gameplan appears to be to give him the ball 50 times. It might work.

Did Al Michaels just say that Mike McCarthy won the toss and deferred? Is he aware that his D is horrible? Is he aware that he has the best QB in the league?

I think it's become the niche thing to do in the NFL. You want to set the tone after halftime

When Rex does it, it's OK< he has Sanchez and a great D. When McCarthy does it, it's just stupidity. He did it last year against the Giants too, they promptly went down the field and scored a TD and the crowd was never in the game again

If Rogers scores TDs and not FGs then, his strategy works. We'll see.

Belichick is a huge fan of deferring the ball, and I would think the Packers and Pats have similar strategic interests.
