This came out of Left field. Weird timing.

Burke is a known @sshole within league circles and how he conducts himself with the media....so in that aspect, it's not surprising.

I have family in Toronto, and we go up every year for Canada Day(July 1). Haven't talked to them today, but they are probably partying already. Leafs haven't made playoffs in @ 8-9 years. To put it into perspective, would be like Yankees doing the same here in NYC. To say a Leaf fan is happy right now would be understatement of year. Go Leafs Go.

The only thing I don't understand is why he was fired now. Shouldn't they have canned him after the season?

Maybe they had to wait until the lock-out was over?
