You can't express any interest, you can express no interest. How can an expression of not wanting a player be considered tampering? Tampering regs are put in place so that a team can not influence a player or coach on another team to make a move. 1. A club’s representative, or a third-party intermediary of that club (Club A), is involved in a private meeting or conversation with a player (or his representative) who is under contract to, or whose negotiating rights are held by, another club (Club B); and 2. The League obtains substantiation that after or during the above contact with the player, Club A has stated, publicly or privately, its interest in obtaining his services (see “Public/Private Statements” below); and 3. Contract problems or other disputes subsequently arise between the player and Club B (for example, the player’s failure to report on time to Club B). So after reading this do you think Tebow is going to hold out in order to get traded to the jags? When Rex Ryan sings the praises of Brady and Manning or whoever is that tampering? if that is not tampering, how can saying you don't want someone publicaly is tampering. the jets need to get real with tebow. like it or not the jets may still have tebow and sanchez next season. of the two i think tebow is the better guy to keep assuming that the new oc can integrate him into the offense better. imo sanchez is shot and needs new scenery.

Now if our new GM only has the balls to say that about Sanchez we'll be alright.

Someone might take a flier, but thats all it'll be, a flier #3 spot. Shame (for Tebow). I don't think he's a bad person, or a bad athelete or talent. He's an electric guitar solo.....in 1923. A man (and a style) totally out-of-time for today's NFL. And today's NFL is is no real mood for nostalgia. Last edited by Warfish; 01-10-2013 at 06:15 PM. |

If the jets cut him he will be in Patriots TC next year. I can see BB using him on ST, 5th rb, 4thTE/H-back and he could be the emergency QB if Endleman moves on as a FA. I think he has value as the 53rd guy on the roster. Never mind the PR part, going to schools, community events, etc.

In one sentence, Caldwell proved himself to already be a more competent GM than Tannenbaum. We could have used this guy!

He's done. Finished. History. Kaput. Even on a Jets team that was so crappy, they have ZERO use for him. Think about that.... |

No one was going to trade for him anyway. He won't be a Jet, that's all that matters.

If we can't trade him I doubt he goes anywhere. Don't be shocked if we end up with an OC that insists he can use him. I think it is more likely Sanchez get cut our right then Tebow. Even as a BU he is just worth more to keep then he saves cutting.

No, because Tebow can not be a backup unless he can step into a game and run the #1 QB's offense. Either Tebow is the starter or he's gone.

He already is a JAG.
If we get Frenchie from Les Alouettes as our GM, maybe we can ship Timmy off to our neighbors in the North. I would imagine a lot of people need Saving in Caaanaduuuhhh. |
