Winston Hill - HOF
I have written about this before, and with the Hall of Fame finalists I felt like writing this again. I would love to see Winston Hill in the Hall of Fame. I have had a chance to get to know Winston quite well, and he never dwells on the subject and refuses to self-promote.
* 15 NFL season at Offensive Tackle at a time when the head slap was the weapon of choice for Defensive Lineman. * Did not miss a game for 14 years. * 8 Time All-Star/Pro Bowler Tidbit - Jets ran mostly to the left against the Balitmore Colts in Superbowl 3. Right off of Winston's butt. And gashed the Colts that day with a ball control game contrary to Namath's style. Any old timers here have any memories of "Winnie" |

I'm Era-baised obviously, the man I want to see in the Hall, in Jets Green, is Joe Klecko.

Winston Hill is the most underrated OT that ever played the game AND should be in the HOF without a doubt.
I have no idea why he's been shunned. |

Both, should have been locks to the HALL. It's the JETS curse that is holding them back.
We've had some great players here that never got recognized by anyone. Powell T Mo Lewis Victor Green Mickey Shuler |

If he was an ex-Giants player,l think he'd be in the Hall. Ditto Klecko. Hill was a great OT in the AFL and never got the respect he deserved.

Sunny Werblin, Klecko and Hill should all be in. just amazed at what Klecko did considering his size. The heart of a Lion.
Really think Namath has not done a good job speaking up for Hill, and even Werblin for that matter. I love Joe, but it seems Joe still wants SB 3 to be all about him. Snell and Hill did more to win that game then Namath did.imo Great point Supe, the Jet offense ran off Hills side that whole game. Last edited by 2009fatman; 01-11-2013 at 04:52 PM. |

Winston Hill, the REAL MVP of SBIII, absolutely deserves to be in the Hall.

Hill, Klecko and Powell, in that order. The first two not being in is are travesties, the last is a slap in the face but arguable I suppose.

The ENTIRE O-Line played a great game in the Super Bowl. That being said...Winston belongs in Canton...no doubt. One of the best. |
