How can you say that? Smith and Boldin, and Pitta is a solid TE....I watched a lot of Baltimore this year as I had Smith on my FF team and saw him beat DB's constantly and Flacco missed him with bad throws. Sure he hit him twice tonight but still missed a sure TD on another. Say what you want about him, but he has a pretty decent receiving corps...along with solid running game a had great protection tonight.

Boldin,Smith,Pitta,Rice. That's decent but that is far from close to great.Look at the Falcons,Patriots,Packers,Giants...etc those offenses.Look at the Pitt wrs who they have 4.Flacco has 2 wr,a sometimes is good sometimes doesn't show up tight end and a very good rb.That's not exactly great.

After today we can talk about Flacco as a Top 10 guy, but he's still not in the Top 5. Not even close.

Sure,
Let's put Rex Grossman in the HOF too. He got to a Super Bowl. Let's put Flaco in over Jim Kelly Hey, make sure McNabb gets in too.

Maybe Flacco and Trent Dilfer can be inducted in a two for one package. I mean Flacco wins it all this year, he will have brought as many Super Bowls to Baltimore as Dilfer did.
You gotta win at least two Super Bowls to get HOF consideration if you are not truly elite with or without Super Bowl wins like Eli and Roethlisberger. |

Now I have seen and heard everything.
So does that mean Dilfer gets in, since he already won a SB with the Ravens? |

If Flacco continues to be make the playoffs and win games like he has in his first five years for the next five years and manages to win a ring or two he is a lock.
Both making the playoffs every year for the next five years is a long shot, and winning a ring or two is even a longer shot, but if this cat should do this than you would be insane to say he isn't in consideration for the HOF. Winning regular season games consistently, and winning playoff games consistently isn't normal - it doesn't happen on a yearly basis. Winning a ring or two would be paranormal over a ten year career. Odds are he won't achieve either. But if he does you would simply be a hater to say he isn't the type of winner that deserves consideration. What he did today was special. If he were to go into New England and win again would be super special. If he were to win a ring this year he would silent all but the most hard core critics. That having been said he has a very long way to go. But even if he should "just" win a ring in the next five years I'd say that he was one of the greatest draft picks imaginable. Let it play out.
