The 2013 season is shaping up to be an outright DISASTER, the Jets won't be able to fill half the stadium with the team they're going to put on the field, by having Tebow as the QB fans will show up just to see it. We're headed for so much turnover on this team, the GM will be new and not the best available, the DC will be an also-ran, the OC won't be Norv Turner or anyone like him, the special teams coach is an unproven commodity, we're in cap hell and won't be able to fix most of our personnel problems either.

The Jets had better think long and hard before they cut Tebow loose because he may be their only selling point next season... Again, THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT IT! This team has no drawing power, NONE! Tebow will at least bring fans to the stadium, and that is worth something.
So you're saying we have a chance

The coach allowed him to pass the ball 8 times, but verily even though his passes were pretty good, he sucks.

We are the mighty Jets Fan Base, who decide someone sucks because he didn't play this year. The Mighty Jets who say that a QB on the Broncos who has a winning record and goes to the playoffs is not actually a QB. Even though his title on the Jets official page has "QB" next to his name, and he's wearing a Jets uniform.

Jets Fans - the only fans in the world who want a player on their team to suck.
People who question the front office why trade for Tebow are cultists.
People who question why the coaching staff didn't give Tebow a chance to play are cultists. People who question the front office why Tebow wasn't traded or release if they knew he sucks are cultists. If you mention the word "Tebow" you're a cultist.

Manning vs. Tebow isn't even a debate. Manning is the better QB. It's dumb to suggest otherwise. Sure I've been delighting in the fact that Tebow has won more playoff games as Broncos QB than Manning but that's because I love-hate Manning.

However, I think Sanchez vs. Tebow has more merits and really highlights the impact of Fantasy Football on how a fan perceives talent in this game. A lot of fans today scoff at the idea of being clutch or 'just wins games' and point to stats that back them up.

Old fags like me still believe in those nebulous concepts and I think Tebow is unquestionably a guy who has a knack for leading a team and he has some sort of will to win that a guy like Sanchez, for all of his superior skills, cannot match.

That loss was not on Manning. The game should have never made OT.

Del Rio and the safeties should all be fired, to be honest. Baltimore has no timeouts left and there's less than a minute on the clock and somehow you lose coverage on a deep threat wideout?

Pathetic.

Eh. Broncos had two return TDs so Peyton's offense only scored 21 points. Then factor in his pick six.... Peyton had a crappy game and is definitely partially responsible for the loss.

That game tying TD is one of the most badly misplayed balls I've ever seen though. They were playing 3 deep safeties... Literally that was the only thing the safety couldn't allow and he blew it as badly as anyone I've ever seen.

I have no problem at all with Tebow.

By all accounts, he's a good guy who works as hard as anyone you'll find.

But guess what? There are multiple guys on every single team in the league that fit that description. They just don't have the polarizing personality that Tebow has or wear their religion on their sleeve.

Like I said, I'm sure Tebow is a great guy.

He just isn't a professional QB.

In Canada? Maybe

But if you think this kid can have prolonged success in the NFL as a starting QB by looking like he doesn't even belong on a football field for 55 minutes and then pulling last second wins out of his ass every week, then you're sadly mistaken.

If Tebow comes to grips with the fact that he isn't an NFL QB and accepts a role as a gadget player/H-back, then maybe he'll stick around in this league.

Otherwise, good luck with the Montreal Alhouettes, Tim.

Exactly.

Denver Playoffs:

Manning 2013: 290 YDS 3 TD 2 INT Loss

Tebow 2012: 316 YDS 2 TD 0 INT Win

I know ya'll got your minds made up and I shoudn't confuse you with the facts but the fact is that Tebow won the game with a TD and Manning lost with an INT...

Tebow threw for more yards and 0 INTs.

Thank you, throw all the stats you want out there in a big circle and convince everyone why this player is good or bad but there is only one stat that matters and that is wins and losses.

Tebow wins games, i don't care how he does it but he does, thats the only stat that matters. Just find an intelligent enough coaching staff that knows how to highlight his assets and leave the rest to him.

Tebowites still ignoring Tim's divisional round stats, eh? 34.6 CMP%, 136 yds, 0 TD/0 INT, 11/22.

His 2011 playoff stats as a whole? 19/47, 40.4 CMP%, 482 yds, 2 TD/0 INT/1 FMB, 29.9 QBR.

Wow, that's some elite **** right there.

That was one of maybe two games all year that he played like a competent NFL QB.

Tim also won on the road against Big Ben, Peyton is at home against Joe Flacco (LOL) and this Denver team is heads above last years Denver team.

So is drop back passing overrated and can it be supplanted by a read-option type offense? Yes, yes, yes, its just that fans despise it, it's not as exciting.

No excuses now but I'm sure lots of them will be coming up.

Suck it up Elway you screwed up and so did you Rex.
This has to be one of the dumbest posts in the history of JI. Holy crap! Tebow could never put up yards and points the way Manning did. Denver lost because their secondary came up small. Last year they beat Pittsburgh because the Broncs defense was outstanding that day. Attributing the win to Tebow is simply wrong.

Remember the football strike? Remember how Tebow got no reps in preseason because there wasn't a preseason? Remember how Kyle Orton, not Tebow, started the first 5 games of 2011? Remember how it wasn't pretty, but he won some games? And he ran right past Revis when the Jets played the Broncos, I do believe. Tebow bashers love to froth at the mouth and claim anybody who gives Tebow a compliment is a "cultist".
Orton started the first 3 games, not 5.

If I was still a Mod, every Tebowtard would be long gone. Teblow proved in Training camp and in practice multiple times, that he is not capable of running the Jets offense.

Nail Teblow to his cross, he is done!!!!

I don't know, I think Tebow knocks down that pass to Jacoby Jones at the end of regulation.

Jetman for MOD (again).
