Gangster Squad, yay or Nay?

I am leaning towards Nay. Ryan Gossling in a gangster movie, LMAO.

However the director did Zombieland and 30 minutes or less which I love, and I am off from work today....

Anyone see it, thoughts?

Saw it last night.

Great movie.

Gosling was great, too... He really has turned the corner on being a solid actor. Smart of him not to keep getting typecast in chick flicks forever...

Looks retarded to me

More like an action movie than a crime drama.

And yeah, I can't take a guy like Gossling serious as a gangster. Don't know who the hells idea that was. Let's throw Channing Tatum in there while we're at it.

Emma Stone's first anal scene. What's not to love?

Saw it. Don't waste ur money seeing it at the movies this is strictly a rental.

This movie is Untouchables without the heart and story. Sean Penn parodies himself his performance is so ludicrous he's like a goof R-rated version of those Dick Tracy villians. Ryan Gosling's bronx accent is so ridiculous - this guy gets paid to act?

It just doesn't seem interesting.

Some teen heart throb as the "Mob Squad" leader chasing down Mickey Coen with over the top explosions, cheesy one liners, etc.

I don't mind senseless action movies. Expendables 2 was the best esperience I've had at the theater in a long time. It was great seeing an old school action flick with all of my childhood favorites (Arnold, Stallone, Willis, Van Damme, Dolph, Norris, etc.)

But an action movie disguised as a mobster crime drama?

Just doesn't sound like a good mix to me.
