That was my 1-2 punch the night I met my wife. Started drinking heavily at McSorleys for about 3 hours (which is quite a while to keep up with their approved Sat nite pace for drinking at a table) and then went to St. Marks.

10 years (and two kids) later, I fondly tell people that the night I met my was the most drunk I've been since college.

You can't leave it at this. Where did you actually meet?

She's a cop. He was on top of a mailbox yodeling and yelling "I'm a mountain man. I'm a mountain man, where's my mountain Momma?".

She gets the call, he falls on the hood of her Squad car as she pulls up.

The rest is history.

LOL. Also the first time crash's wife administered her trademark "boot to the balls".

I met her at St. Mark's Ale House. She came with her friend to latch on to this roving bday party - I plied her with margaritas so she didn't need to understand whatever drunken ramblings was I dropping on her in my most suave slur I could muster.

5 years later, I took her back to St. Marks Ale House as she insisted on going back to the beginning. She was dismayed that it was such a dump. Her memory of the evening is even foggier than mine. Its f'n St. Marks Ale House - Not sure what she expected - palm trees and vistas?

Obviously everything looked better with her beer goggles on that first night.

LOL. She's a keeper. Continued happiness, if not sobriety, to you both.

As I type this, I hear my lil one trying to convince my wife to go "Night Night" next to him. 11 years ago (on Super Bowl Night eve), I was in much the same place.

Time flies, huh?

Beers - Stout (most happening bar in mid-town and way better than overhyped McSorley)

Boobs - Rick's (best club in NY and maybe the entire country)

TGI in the basement of Penn Station has reasonably priced apps and margaritas if you just want something convenient and close.

Those are such precious moments, which disappear all too quickly, too. My son is going to be 15 this year. I miss him being out "little guy".

As for time with my wife? I keep trying to figure out where the 80s, 90s, 00's went. Fortunately, we found the right women with whom to grow old.

Clearly you've never left midtown Manhattan.
