On the weirdest day in recent sports memory, @StevePoliti does a great job making sense of it all. #MantiTeo http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/poli..._river_default

So ESPN knew about the Te'o story before the BCS title game. I'd love to know how many ESPN employees bet on Alabama.

per rotoworld:

Jets signed OT D.J. Young to a reserve/future contract.

Young was actually the first man up at left tackle for the Cardinals last summer when Levi Brown went down for the year with a torn triceps. He was beat out by D'Anthony Batiste, though, which says a lot about his future prospects. Young spent the year on the Browns' practice squad.

wow, I guess Batiste wasn't the worse OT in the league afterall

Yes. Post count is directly related to caliber of fanhood.

Saw right through me, and the Die Hard pun.

I have to laugh at reading this.

15th year as owner of an NFL franchise and Woody Johnson and he NOW has to bring in someone for ideas on how to structure his organization?

Wow.

Yes honest. But he waits until Tannenbaum is gone to say it.

The guy has 9 posts that are better than any you have made in 6 years here.

If he were to say this during the season, wouldnt that cause a problem in the locker room and add to the circus mentality surrounding the Jets this year?

At least he'd be speaking the truth and putting his name on it.

The circus comes from Rex and his bold proclamations, all the behind the scenes BS and "anonymous sources" and everything Tebow. Probably more. But if people in this organization were more honest and upfront and pragmatic, the circus atmosphere would be greatly curtailed.

Blaming the media for anything related to the performance of the team is indeed whining and quite ridiculous IMO.

Did you watch the show last night? He did not blame the media for the teams poor performance, not even close.
You cant put your name on it anymore than sitting in front of a camera telling the world your team, which you are included, was just not good enough.
He said the team is covered differently than the Giants and also admitted that that is the fault of their doing.
You guys want to find something wrong with everything, yet ignore the facts.
Bart Scott was as upfront as you could be and did not pass the blame to anyone but the Jets.
