He probably was already on hold with ESPN at the same time. Ira is a serial caller, and has the "need" to be on the air.

Nor me haha....but he has a point regarding personnel vs. numbers guy. At least he's definitely very bright. Math degree from the Ivy League and he's coming from one of the youngest, strongest organizations in the league. He also has NFL pedigree that he has been around ALL his life.

Bottom line, if the Jets finally draft a Franchise QB under Idzik's watch he'll be one of the best Jet GM's...instantly. It's that simple.

How could the Jets ever win a SB when there has been a MONSTER QB, sometimes more than 1, within the AFC East since Joe Namath retired?
