Not necessarily true of Rodgers - it sounds like his coaches 'made' him.

Quote:
Coach Mike McCarthy arrived in Rodgers’s second season, and he recognized the talent that spent Sundays holding clipboards. Since 1993, McCarthy has charted quarterbacks in five footwork drills that rate agility and movement. In his three backup seasons, Rodgers improved most in those areas, McCarthy said, to where he now ranks “at the top of all of them.”

In what McCarthy calls his Quarterback School, Rodgers concentrated on tuning his fine motor skills: hand-eye coordination, finger dexterity, mechanics. He also lowered where he held the ball for a smoother, more consistent motion.

I'm sorry but I just don't like this hire.

I agree it is hard considering where we are coming from but for me it's like going from Schotty to Shades again.

I would have been happy with a no name QC guy from Green Bay.

Here's hoping that GS3 under center, and Coples on the edge works out.

Yeah.. that way he could come here and sprinkle some of that magic QB dust that he used on Rodgers to get Sanchez to play better

Nobody remembers that Rodgers was almost considered a bust the first few years.

While it's true that Rodgers sat the bench while Favre started for a few years, once he got onto the field he's played pretty well since day 1.

Why? Because some no name from Green Bay is currently a coach on the staff with the best Quarterback in football? But likely was not even on the staff, let alone had a hand in developing him 5 years ago?

I might have reservations if he was named OC. But I think he can help Sanchez as a QC. It's not like we're automatically going wildcat.

Lee returned to the NFL to join the Miami Dolphins in 2008 after two years with the Arizona Razorbacks (and, subsequently, he played a big role in the implementation of the Wildcat offense in Miami).

Who the heck are the Arizona Razorbacks??

Not just GB. Any team really. My point was that I would prefer to have an up-and-comer.

I want to be completely divorced from everything Wildcat.

I understand it is not "automatic" but if you had a gun to your head . . .

I don't know anything about the guy. At the same time, I'm not sure that any QB coach in the world is going to help Sanchez.
