What??? Are all of you, who responded in the negative, teenagers or complete homers? Face up to the fact that the Pats, albeit the Jets nemesis, are far superior in EVERY way to the Jets! THAT'S the first step on the road to redemption, but it's the first step that has not been taken in what, 40 plus years????? But you all cling to this imaginary hope. Absolutely crazy homers.

I agree...
if you subtract the Sanchez TO machine with a decent QB...Jets make the playoffs. But if you subtract Brady from the Pats. And replace him with only a decent non TO machine QB. Then the Pats decline would be very noticeable. |

This is absolutely ridiculous.
How many seasons are we going to take it back here? The Patriots of 2011, and 2012 were light year, eon light years ahead of the Jets. This is crazy. All this take away, minus this, subtracted by this, multiplied by this, its all just poppycock. The Patriots would beat the Jets 8 out of 10 times this season or last season. |

The truth is, on August 3rd Tom Brady is going to be 36 years old.
Wouldn't be surprised if Belichick it thinking "trade" here... How much longer can he get out of this player? And how much could he get for him from some team like Kansas City? If Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Joe Namath could be traded at the end of their careers so can the great Tom Brady. His days are certainly numbered. If Belichick is smart he'll move Brady before the draft and start looking for the next best thing. |

2) Peyton Manning wasn't traded, he was released. Ditto for Namath. Other than that, solid point.

they traded richard seymour, didn't they? he's still playing at a high level. the problem is that brady probably has a no trade clause and his high price makes him unaffordable to any team that might want him.

Who really cares! All you morons who keep bringing up the Pats are just jealous fans.
This is nothing new with all HOF coaches. You show me a HOF coach and 95%of the time I'll show you the HOF QB he coached. What sets Belly apart when you look at HOF coaches is to take a look at the rest of the rosters. Some of these HOF coaches not only had HOF QBs but other HOF players. Pats only had Brady and keep winning with marginal players around him. |

What would Green Bay be without Rodgers?
How would the Saints be without Brees? What was Miami like after Marino retired? You can make that argument against any team with a great QB and disgusie it as insightful football knowledge.

I still believe if you take Bellichek away from Brady you have a scrub QB. I think Bellichek is a scumbag, cheating exploiter low life, but he is a machine when it comes to football.

If Belicheck didn't have a QAB I can assure you he would be dumping money, players, and time into that Defense and they would be right there at the top. His D's always play well enough when they need to. He has an elite QB and has been pouring picks and FA money into surrounding him with a solid OL and weapons. Belicheck understands you play to your strengths and will sacrifice defense if need be. NE's problem is Brady is starting to really **** the bed when it's all on the line and he's facing any type of adversity. You can almost tell immediately within the 1st quarter if he's going to be bad. Even though the Pats were winning at halftime I still could sense that they were not playing well and could be easily beaten, and they were.
