Agreed, François Guizot phrased it well.

"Not to be a republican at 20 is proof of want of heart; to be one at 30 is proof of want of head."

Note this was in the 19th century when D was Right and R was Left.

Barack Obama is a shallow, empty headed Wall Street stooge whose only Presidential skill is reading words that someone else wrote off of teleprompters.

Under Obama the rich are richer, the poor are poorer, illegal immigrants have been deported at a record level, more Americans are on welfare and food stamps, and there's no job creation because small businesses hate Obama's healthcare insurance program.

Obama is a tool of the rich liberal elite who politically oppress minorities and women by making promises they don't intend to keep.

Obama was a affirmitive action student his whole life all the way through Harvard University. He did poorly which explains why he never released his college transcripts.

And we're all stuck with this dithering idiot for four more years.

I never voted for O either, just saying he is my president and I wish him luck,
I wanted Ron Paul as the least evil of all options.

Inauguration balls and dinners are not paid for by tax payers.

Guizot was a Frenchman and was not refering to our politics.

It's impossible for a 19th century Frenchman to refer to a 21st century form of politics.

But if you don't think this nation is EXACTLY what he was referring to, you're kidding yourself . . .

He was a french prime minister.

He may have been refering to humans in general being more conservative as they get older but i doubt he really cared about american politics

Is that right? Who pays for them?

In any event, one would hope the First Lady is a little more gracious.

I don't think you understand the quote, so I'll give you a modern day interpretation:

"If you're young and conservative, you have no heart. If you're old and liberal you have no brain"

It has nothing to do with "American politics", but everything to do with our current political mindset. Any nation that thinks it's as entitled as we do deserves the criticism it gets, as well as the consequences of its foolishness . . .

Two people locked in a remote mountain cabin together. One thinks he's a comedian.

No good can come of it.

The end game here is why I could never be a State Trooper in a rural area.

Aint nobody got time for that.

I honestly don't feel like he's my president. Maybe its because he made me feel that way in that horrible swearing-in speech.

It was basically "We're turning sharply left, and the rest of you can GFY"

whatever.
