Exactly. Frankly, I wouldn't even mind the Jets giving him a look; we already have jack **** at QB, so why not buy a $.10 lottery ticket. If it doesn't work, cut him and move on. If he somehow manages to harness the talent that got him picked No. 1 overall, huge win.

The former is far, far more likely than the latter, but at zero cost, why not give it a shot?

After the Tebow fiasco last year, I seriously doubt the Jets would be the team that gives him a shot.

All that would do is keep the circus going in the media.

Not even comparable. Russell's arm is still a hose. He is absolutely worth taking a flyer on.

1st round bust attempting come back

Thats right, the 300 pounder, near zero wonderlic scoring, JaMarcus Russell is attempting to get in shape to hold a "pro day" of sorts to try and get back into the NFL after sticking the Raiders for over $30M in gauranteed pay.

Will he pull it off?

Could be an option for punt protector. Would come cheap.

There was a thread about this a few weeks ago. And then there was a report that the Jets were paying attention to this situation.
