Bernard Pollard fined $15k for hit on Welker during AFCCG

Quote:
Ravens safety Bernard Pollard was the most vocal critic of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for trying to kick Baltimore’s Ed Reed in the AFC Championship Game. So it was some measure of vindication for Pollard that Brady was fined $10,000.

Unfortunately for Pollard, he’s now been fined more than Brady: The NFL has confirmed that Pollard was fined $15,250 for a hit on Wes Welker in the AFC Championship Game.

Hmm honestlt what is the penalty

The only thing that could be said is he left his feet but he had to reach the player and the hit itself IMO was legal....

Hey, be happy they fined Brady at all. Especially due to the fact that Ed Reed never actually came into contact with Brady.

At least Pollard and Welker made contact.

Pollard is my favorite non-jet player.I would chip in for every illegal hit he puts on a patriot player.

And what about the Mayo hit on Pitta???????

NFL is a joke. Pats got fined, they whined so the NFL did this to appease them.

Either fine them all or fine nobody.

Goodell, you are the worst commissioner in the history of the NFL. Stop trying to leave what you think will be your legacy in player safety. It is a shame.

Reprisal from the NFL against Pollard for 1) being a Pat-killer and 2) being critical of Brady getting a wrist-slap for trying to end Ed Reed.

Roger Goodell is an a-hole.

Screw the NFL... hopefully some of these guys goes crazy on some kind of convention and spears Roger Goodell... and then Robert Kraft after that...

Nobody's taken harder hits than Welker. If there was ever a guy who is going to have brain issues later in life it's him.

Apparently, the hits have already made him forget how to catch a ball.

I tell you, he had quite a few big drops going over the middle with a defender closing in... and it all started with our very own (thank god not for long anymore) ERIC SMITH... lol...

That doesn't make sense. If what you say is true, then it means that Smith did something useful.

He's already got a double digit IQ so losing a couple brain cells won't affect much.
