No doubt. He's a burner. Just tough for a taller QB (6'3) to hit the small WRs (5'9-5'10) on certain routes.

I hope not, his play could extend Brady's career another 3 years

Usually the opposite

Shorter QB's like taller wideouts

Taller QB's generally like smaller wideouts

But it's not a science

Dysert looking better, not unheard of. I think he's struggling with the talent level today

Definitely has to sit a year but his ceiling is definitely pre-injury Pennington

Glennon, Wilson and Manuel are NFL QBs. The other guys... not so much...

I am so on the fence with Landry JONES. He is either really really good, or really really bad.

His pocket presence is awful.

Kid goes into full blown panic mode as soon as a defender comes within 3 yards of him.

I agree with Flaming Mo.

Glennon, Wilson, and Manuel are the only guys who look like pro QB's.

None of these guys did much for themselves today....Maybe Manuel helped his stock a little.

I still believe Dysert could be a good fit for the WCO. He may not be ready right out of the box , but I think that also fits the Jets scenario in 2013.

Mid-round talents. None should be taken in the 1st round, but some team will be dumb enough. Good thing Idzik is smart

We hope....

Getting Manuel in the 3rd round would be nice. Low risk high reward

For future reference, Geno Smith does not need to be compared to only other black QBs. He doesn't run. He doesn't even throw outside the pocket much. I'm sure you can figure out a white QB he plays like if you really think "outside the box"
What are you saying? I'm being racist? He reminded me of McNabb,

He's nothing like McNabb... outside of being black

I think drafting Glennon would immediately make Sanchez feel better...

I'm not the first to make that comparison.

Most usually think "black pocket passing QB... MCNABB!" It's lack of analysis that get's the comparison thrown around by most

Realistically he's much like older QB's. Does well in a system, not very mobile at all. Think Stafford with a weaker arm

Edit: OR a shorter Matt Shaub... I'm sure you get it by now

Looking at clips of all these QB's - outside of Smith and Barkley who look most NFL-ready - why the hell isn't anyone talking about Matt Scott from Arizona? As a developmental pick he's very intriguing.

He's played in a system that would make him a good fit for the WCO and even though he doesn't appear to be a world-beating physical talent, he seems to play with real football IQ.

Maybe it's just my first encounter with this hunch - but I like this guy.

He'll be this year's Kellen Moore with a worse collegiate career. Won't be able to take a beating in the NFL like these other QB's will

It's a fair point. But I do think Scott gets drafted and he can't be any worse than Greg McElroy. He would need to gain some weight.

I believe if a QB has good football IQ and the basic NFL tools, what separates a guy like Moore from someone like Russell Wilson is just opportunity.
