Now, do you think the Jets have been especially strong on the inside? I think they've been average up the middle and have used a mediocre patchwork of linemen over the years with little to no organic passrush. |

I actually thought the Jets "patchwork" DLine did a decent job. Not much more than you can expect. For the last 2 years, the Jets LB's have been terrible. Jets need to find one more stud DLineman to go along with Couples and Wilkerson (both who I feel will be very good) and get younger and faster at the LB position. |

NOT ONE of the panel agrees with you. Ditka, Keyshawn, Carter, Jackson all say you MUST move him. I heard Ditka say exactly what I previously posted. ONE MAN does not a team make. Love Revis too...but he needs to go. Think about it...unbiased experts, ALL of THEM disagree with your sentiment. Its not even a mixed review. UNANIMOUS to move him. |

I'm not debating the track records of the GM candidates I noted, just simply that their supposed strength is as 'personnel' guys.
Second, this is Common Sense 101. The only reason most teams don't pay cornerbacks 14-16 million is because they do not have a CB at the level of Revis. He is universally regarded as the best at his position, by a mile. There have been very few players at that position that compare to Revis. And he's not done (forget the ACL Surgery - see Adrian Peterson), AND, he plays in a defensive scheme that relies on CBs. The salary cap will improve this year and next. We have all our picks this year. Keep the guys worth keeping, rely on the second year guys (Coples, Hill, Davis), and draft WELL this year! Revis WILL get paid. Period. Just a matter of which team. And if not the Jets, probably by much better run franchises than the Jets. |

Emotional fans wont ever get it. They will hang on to their 24 jersey while Texans , 49ers, and MANY teams we should be better than go to the playoffs.
Texans have NO REGRETS letting Williams go. He would hurt the ability to pay others. In life as in football, emotional decisions hurt you long term. |

![]() Unbiased, they gave excellent rationale but you know better. ![]() Curious, any experts agree with your sentiment? There are a few Im sure, I just thought it interesting that NONE were on ESPN. |

Inaccurate. "Stink" is one that believes they should keep him.

It will hurt this team for 5 years. A CB tying up say 7 to 10 percent of the cap? If you agree with this it MUST be emotional. Find me a defensive player worth that? Oh...Mario Williams, That's right. Texans say hello. |

Hey, if Revis would be willing to sign for $12-13 million per (which would still make him the highest paid DB in NFL history), then I'd say lock him up.
But $16 million per? LOL Send his ass packing to the highest bidder. You guys in the "pay Revis whatever he wants" camp are f*cking goofy. Sorry, I'm not interested in giving a CB a contract on par with the best QB's in the game today. How anyone can condone that is beyond me. Where the hell do we draw the line with this guy and say enough is enough? You know that even if we make Revis the highest paid defensive player in history, he'll eventually come back to the bargaining table 2-3 years down the road. I say get a couple of hight draft picks in return, free up a boatload of money in the future, and fix this abortion of an offense. |
