If you could plug in one player from NFL history into the 2013 Jets...

Any one guy, from any era (including current), in his prime.

Who and why?

Lawrence Taylor

Oh my would that we fun. Draft Star, plug in LT at OLB - I could watch this team even if they went 2-14. There are no scary players on D the way there used to be like with LT. . .

Joe Namath. In this day and age, he would be ridiculous.

Montana

Why? Greatest QB to ever step on a football field.

Braylon Edwards is a sight for sore eyes after watching this mess of an offense.

Late 70s/early 80s Joe Montana because he is the best qb ever imo and at that time he was still young.

Ya'll are going to hate me, but it's Marino.

Marino had worse receivers' than this year's Dolphins and would straight up shred teams.

So many scars from his comebacks, too.

Can you imagine him and Rex going at it on the sidelines?

On defense? Definitely Lawrence Taylor.

Between Namath & LT there would be a shortage of cocaine in the tri-state area.

Revis. If the greatest CB in NFL history couldn't get us to a SB nobody can.

Even an old healthy one. I still laugh at the threads on here last year when the Jets were looking at Manning. The number of fools that raged on him, dismissed it out right, said he would never play again of best of all preferred Sanchez was astounding.

Defense: Reggie White to smash anything that moved on the other team.

Offense: Barry Sanders because he makes up for a ton of QB mistakes and lack of talent.

Gale Sayers. Every touch of the ball the Defense would key on him. That would open up the play action and passing game. It would stop the blitzes and create a dynamic Offense.
