And Belichick was failing in New England before Mo Lewis decapitated Drew Bledsoe.

Just saying.

Btw, are you sure Harbaugh can do more than Rex ever could? Why don't you name the coaches who have done more with a QB as bad as this:

12 TDs/20 INTs/53.8% Comp. Per./8 Fumbles/63.0 rating.

Go ahead, we'll wait.

Also, Terrell Suggs, former DPOY, disagrees with your assessment that "Rex Ryan can't coach up talent."
In my original post I said REX was around number 12 in coaches. Thats pretty OK. But you nor Inwill never know what Rex could have done. I do know that this team is run poorly, drafts poorly and develops players poorly AND the Ravens did NOT want Rex. that WE know.

I am OK with REX getting a 5 th year..... But he has a lot of people who doubt his skill.

They were 5-11 the year before and in 2002 started 0-2.

Clearly they were on the upswing.

Rex Ryan will never, ever, be Bill Belichick. Ever. Even if he does somehow land a Tom Brady. Belichick has more input in the offense and had more input in the offense than Rex could ever dream of.

He'll be gone after 2013 and all this talk will be of waste anyways.

Why won't I side with the 6 and 8 Rex? barely a 500 HC over 4 years regular season.

WOody loves fans who demand mediocrity.
He's had more talent in Baltimore than Rex has ever had here.

Outside of this season he's gone no further than Rex.

But of course he coaches another team, always calls for props from the clueless.

That was last season.

This is just delaying the rebuilding process and putting the organization and its fans through an extra year of bull**** to save Woody a few million bucks.

I think it was 2001 but I have to agree with everything you say, Rex is on his last legs we'll see what he's got, which is probably not much

You're right, 2001, but his record was 5-11 in 2000.

This organization should have clean sweeped, but hey, we're the Jets. Everything has to be difficult and frustrating.

I'm sure you are right..... Baltimore management was also wrong.

I have noticed a lack of civility but I guess that goes with the superior intellect.

I felt like that since Thanksgiving but sometimes organizations give up on guys too soon and they go somewhere else and win their SB, one more year gives Rex the opportunity to show what he's learned and if he can do it...maybe he'll surprise us

11-5
8-8
6-10

Offense, defense and special teams have all progressively gotten worse from year to year. Those are the facts.

Like who?

Gruden hated it in Oakland. He wanted out and got traded.

Dungy couldn't get over the hump in TB. He needed Peyton to win.
