There's NO reason to delay the process. Start Geno Smith.

No one is five years into their career.

It's going to take a championship without Ray Lewis for Flacco to get his complete due.

lol, no. One of the questions they ask is, "can you tell the history of the NFL without mentioning this player?". You can't tell it without guys like Lombardi, Brady, Montana, LT (no, not the quitter), etc. Joe Flacco is not a Hall of Fame player.

Joe has been a good QB that's had great games here and there, but he's never been a consistent "elite" player. Winning a Superbowl doesn't make you elite, either. Just ask Dilfer.

If he retired today he is NOT a HoFer.

However, his career has a HoF trajectory. If his next five years are the same as his first five years (postseason success), he will be. He also needs to sprinkle in a few excellent regular seasons to help his cause.

He WILL, however, command an enormous salary after this weekend.

Likely crippling his ability to win more Super Bowls during the term of his contract and his very average regular season play.

Not buying Flacco. Congrats you won a Super Bowl but you and Revis should go hang out and enjoy daquiris on a beach somewhere while your teams' continuously suck because you are eating 20% of their respective salary caps.

Until we're sure this year wasn't an aberration for Flacco, this thread is as premature as you with Kate Upton.

Let's be clear here. It has been an article of faith amongst some of the more belligerant posters on this site (and you all know who you are) that Flacco sucks. The whole 2012 campaign for the Ravens even before the playoff run was making those position look pretty stupid.

Anyhow then we had the payoffs. 'Nuff said.

HOFer, no HOFer? Who knows. It is a beauty contest anyway.

Flacco has made his bones this weekend even if he does't do another damned thing in hi NFL career.
