I dont get The Big Bang Theory.
It's almost like trying to sell you on the idea that nerds are cool, which they aren't, and the show knows they aren't, but they sell it anyway.

Lately this obsession with nerd-chic culture is all bs. I don't see nerds getting laid by hot broads left and right. And I should know, because I too, am a nerd. We're not cool and we're not getting laid.

I enjoy it. Sheldon and Amy are so technically accurate but contextually oblivious, that any scenes involving both or either keep me glued to the tube. Additionally, it's fun to see deprecating Indian humor.

I too don't like the parts of the show that seem to sell this inflated sense of some sort of nerd-counter-cultural-revolution. I don't care for the comic books or star-trek/comic-con story lines...but I really like the technical anf science-humor aspect of the show. Plus, Penny's not hard to look at.

Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Steve Jobs, Mark Cuban all did pretty well, and there's a thousand more millionaire nerds behind them having no problem getting laid.
