Don't disagree with what has been said before, just trying to not be repetitve:

Elvis Costello
David Byrne
Phil Collins, when he fronted Genesis,
Ryan Adams

still the best was Peter Gabriel when I saw him in '83, '87, '93 and '94, the '94 one at the Beacon Theatre in the front row. absolutely nuts.

For showmanship: Mercury, Roth, Jagger, Plant, Morrison
For Voice alone: Mercury, Geoff Tate, Cornell, Andrew Wood, & Myles Kennedy can out sing them all...(except Freddie)

To leave Morrison off that list is nuts

Not necessarily the best, but two of my favorites.

Bon Scott. He's got the swagger, the sex appeal, a big voice, and can holler like no one's business. There's this look he gets that's like, "I'm about to do something, and you're going to enjoy whether you want to or not!". Great front man.

Liam Gallagher. He's just such a ****ing ******* that you can't help but like. He's got (or had, before the smoking and drinking caught up to his voice) a great voice that defines his band's sound. Has a special swagger to him that's undeniable. He looks like Lennon, believes he's better than Lennon and doesn't give a **** if you don't agree.

David Lee Roth is one of the the best front men when taking all things into consideration.

That only one person has said Paul Stanley is just plain ridiculous. He is one of THE best at running a crowd.

Freddie Mercury....well, how can he not be in the top ten.

With all the different music tastes around here, what would you say is your top 5?
Switch out Plant and Ozzy with Jagger and Osbourne and you have a good list.

I'll be at the 2/15 Soundgarden show in LA. My level of anticipation is off the charts having not seen them together in 15 years!
Just saw SG in Milwaukee last Friday, awesome show. Great energy all night from Cornell, no opener, just Soundgarden for almost 2.5 hours. Spanned the entire catalog. Hope they put on a great show for you as well.
