Pats are not a stupid team.

Welker has played his last down for the Pats.
Welker's going nowhere this is negotiations. Who is giving Welker this big payday? Cincy has cap room but they already have receivers and have bigger needs. Ditto for Tampa they need defense. Welker fits Denver's offense but they already have slot receivers. Welker won't get a mega-deal but he'll get something significant from the Pats in the form of a 2-3 deal.

And the Pats paid those guys bottom dollar.

How's the Sanchez, Harris and Revis contract working out for you?

Perfect example of the difference between the Pats and Jets.

Unless the Pats tag Welker again, he is gone.

No way in hell the Pats give him a 2-3 year deal.

way overpaid Sean Ellis. $3 million for a guy who was destined to be close to vet minimum.

Braylon Edwards is a sight for sore eyes after watching this mess of an offense.

I think it has more to do with a poor defense than the offense being a problem. It's going to sometimes be tougher to score in the playoffs. If the defense was getting more stops and not solely relying on the big play to stop drives they'd be in better shape come playoff time. Teams know they can score on the NE defense now, so they get more aggressive on defense to stop Brady. It's not like the Super Bowl teams that had a defense that could get the stop when needed.

Says Welker will be flirting with the 49'ers once FA begins...

Would be nice for Brady to lose his security blanket...

Does Francesa have reliable info, or is this just BS?
It's got to be BS. Is there anything that this idiot ever says that is actually accurate? He doesn't know his own a$$ from his elbow.

With that said, I would love to see the Patsies without Welker. The Patsies would be fried without him. That would please me to no end.

It won't happen, but I would love for another team to get Welker.

It will be interesting to see how much losing Welker effects Brady. Brady didn't start putting up the huge numbers until Welker and Moss came to NE. Whenever Welker has been out of the lineup, Brady and the offensive production has gone way down. Look at the numbers from early this season when Belly was trying to send a message to Wes by keeping him out of the lineup.

Who knows, maybe Edelman or another player jumps right into the slot and they don't miss a beat, but I have a feeling that won't be the case. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end for Tommy-boy

You mean like the opener against the Titans and then games against the Ravens and Bills?

The Pats scored 34, 30 and 52 points with Welker hardly being involved in the offense.

Welker was 9 for 129 against the bills. And 8 for 142 against the ravens

Explain how that is hardly involved in the offense

The patriots started the season 1-2

Reasonable points, but I disagree. 49ers had a great D -- clearly better than the Pats -- yet the Ravens still hung 27 on them in the SB. Consistently scoring under 20 in big playoff games simply is not going to get it done in today's NFL. If the Patriots want to win another SB, they have to fix their offense first and foremost.

I think bb is smart enough not to give this jag big money. Watch him go to another team and put up numbers his talent level warrants.

LOL... Once Brady retires, Belicheck will be right behind him, then it's back to the early 80s for you.
