Oakland needs to move both and no one else will take that kind of hit. McFadden isn't worth a 3rd what he is getting paid and McClain is a PR night mare. I'm seriously taking swapping 9 mil in dead cash for 10 mil in dead cash. We'd pretty much be swapping useless players. Well except Lancaster but I'd think we'd have to give up some value to get them to take Mark.

Darren McFadden most likely isn"t going anywhere as you don't fire the OC( Greg Knapp zone blocking) and go back to power blocking scheme that suits Darren McFadden game much better.( it was either one or the other, and they made their choice) If Raiders move Darren McFadden they would have to get a second round pick at the very least. That doesn't happen and he will be a Raider. |

He's a backup at best, but who needs a turnover coming off the bench? Maybe he can learn the knuckleball like Flutie.

mark Sanchez has no market for his services right now.( tough to sell Mark Sanchez to any fan base) He would have to accept an offer to compete for a backup job . Try to rehabilitate his image around the league and hopefully if he gets the chance show he worthy of being a starter. If not he going to be holding a clip board on sideline ala Matt Leinart for the rest of his career. . |

Raiders wouldn't have changed back to power blocking scheme from zone blocking scheme (which Mcfadden is a poor fit) if he wasn't going to be part of the team. (makes no sense) They just would have got a RB that fit that system. |

Lets see DHb will be cut and has zero chance of being back. Why ? He scheduled to make 10.6 million only counts 2.9 if cut. That a 7.7 million dollar savings. Rod Streater or Juron Criner will take his place. Mike Brisiel will most likely be cut or traded. Why? He is a pure zone blocking oline specialist who doesn't fit the power blocking scheme they will be employing in 2013. Jaguars are moving to a zone blocking scheme and they might have interest as you have to as many players that have playeed in that system before. Raiders protected themselve with that signing and save money if he cut. Tom Kelly is probably gone as Raiders save alot of money in future years . (this one could go either way and isn't as definite as the other two) Philip Wheeler, Desmond Bryant and Brandon Myers will probably be re signed before Fa starts. Matt Shaughnessy coming off a very bad year and he isn't going to cost much to bring back. (not a big loss either way) None of those Fa I said should be re signed by the time free agency starts are worth the franchise tag. C Palmer isn't going anywhere. He had one of his best season last year. 565 attempts 345 completions for 4018 yards 61% completion 7.1 average 22 tds and 14 interceptions. (that with no running game and Wr that weren't comfortable running the routes . Raiders probably would like him to take less and they want to give the illusion that they are happy to go into the season with T Pryor the starter or them possible drafting one. Why they are looking to trade down to regroup that second rounder they lost. Upgrade the oline and get a true number 1 type wr and you can win a championship with C Palmer. Raiders don't have to pay S Lechler 3.5 million salary as they have his 400,000 replacement on the roster already Marques King. Raiders don't get a second rounder for DMac there is no chance he not Raiders number 1 RB. BTW Raider s or their fans would be more content to go with T Pryor as their starting Qb, than Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez isn't getting anyone to buy tickets. Last edited by Raider9175; 02-10-2013 at 02:17 PM. |

Every year The Raiders are the bestest, they have the most talent, speed everywhere, they are a matchup nightmare for every team, they will dominate, Jason Campbell, err, Carson Palmer, err... Coaches cycled in and cycled out after you tell us all how great each hire was... Raiders then suck, they make stupid trades, they have to cut the roster, fire coaches, etc etc... And STILL you come back here and thump your chest with a new round of manifestos proclaiming the new player, the roster, the new coach, the Raiders are coming... ![]() You are the worst blowhard homer of all time. |

The Raiders are pretty much right at the cap limit. The problem with Oakland is that they have sunk a ton of prorated money is bad talent. Dont get me wrong they can create a bunch of cap room (and should do it) but will carry huge sums of dead money which is different than our situation where (with the exception of Sanchez) most of the dead weight doesnt also equal dead cap. Oakland is already northward of $15 million in dead money and will likely create at least another $12 million just to get breathing room and thats assuming they keep Carson Palmer, a trade which set them back 3 or 4 years. To give up a 1st and a 2nd for a guy that was retired, makes a bunch of money, and wasnt good to begin with is insane. They also have Rolando McClain to deal with. Miracles can always happen in the NFL but if there is a team that needs to just blow it up and take their lumps its that one.

RB Mike Goodson TE Brandon Myers P Shane Lechler RT Khalif Barnes LG Cooper Carlisle DT Desmond Bryant DL Richard Seymour DE Matt Shaughnessy LB Omar Gaither OLB Philip Wheeler CB Joselio Hanson KR/CB Coye Francies DB Michael Mitchell DB Matt Giordano KR Phillip Adams Answers to that are cut your starting RG, #1WR, K, DT, MLB, and restructure your overpaid starting QB so he is there longer apparently. For trading non of them are worth jack because the whole league knows you have to cut someone. Hope those 5 draft picks all work out. Last edited by Dreamers; 02-10-2013 at 07:52 PM. |

Reggie trying to get C Palmer to take less money . Don't see a way that C Palmer not their starting Qb in 2013 . To win in this league you need the Qb. C Palmer is good enough to eventually win a championship. Just upgrade the oline and get him a number 1 Wr he can lean on.( That where DHb money they save might go for in Fa or the oline) Dennis Allen made a mistake radically changing the offense that wasn't the problem. Back in that system the offense isn't that far off from being very good. The defense needs a lot of work and where a lot of there p-icks will go after they address the oline. (could address Oline in FA and concentrate on the defense mostly in the draft. (expect Raiders to move around alot in this draft. Last edited by Raider9175; 02-10-2013 at 08:57 PM. |

Brandon Myers is best5 suited to be a number 2 TE and not a starter . Wouldn't over pay for him as his lack of blocking really hurts the running game and the passing game. I would put andre carter as bigger re signing than Myers. He started to get healthy and a nice guy for the pass rusher they draft to learn from. ( come off the other corner in pass rushing situations) |
