Rolando McClain is going to be cut and they are just waiting to spread it over two years. IT's not a question of if but when. ( when it makes the most sense to the Raiders to cut)

Darren McFadden most likely isn"t going anywhere as you don't fire the OC( Greg Knapp zone blocking) and go back to power blocking scheme that suits Darren McFadden game much better.( it was either one or the other, and they made their choice)

If Raiders move Darren McFadden they would have to get a second round pick at the very least. That doesn't happen and he will be a Raider.

No offense meant but you guys are in pretty bad shape cap wise. They are talking reworking Palmers deal like we did with Sanchez and he is declining. Not saying my deal would help you cap wise but McFadden needs to be moved and most of the league knows it so your not getting a good price for him at all. If you could get a good cheap starting CB and a BU QB out of that it wouldn't be a bad deal. You could save more just by cutting them I'm not going to lie. 8 of your 10 best players are FA right now. You have some cap but the minute you tag Wheeler or Shaughnessy that is pretty much gone. Maybe they rework Tommy Kelly and Janikowski but it will still not be enough. They have no choice but to try to move guys like Bey, McFadden, Branch and Brisiel to cut the cap down. Your working off a short draft and have a ton of wholes to fill. I actually think someone will give you something for McClain to be honest. POS but he is a better player then anyone else Oakland is looking to move right now. A 6th or 7th rounder for a bargain ILB heck I'd do it if only as a NE like gamble. To be quite frank you should want them to do what Washington did a few years back and just completely clean out and dump 100mil in cap trash. They will likely keep Bey, Branch, and Brisiel but McFadden well they already have a better RB on the roster so he will likely be a cap casualty.

Raiders don't get a second rounder they are content to go into the season with him their starting Rb . He was the best running back in football in 2011 (power blocking scheme) the first 6 games. (see Jet game if your memory is a little hazy )

Raiders wouldn't have changed back to power blocking scheme from zone blocking scheme (which Mcfadden is a poor fit) if he wasn't going to be part of the team. (makes no sense) They just would have got a RB that fit that system.

Lets see DHb will be cut and has zero chance of being back. Why ? He scheduled to make 10.6 million only counts 2.9 if cut. That a 7.7 million dollar savings. Rod Streater or Juron Criner will take his place.

Mike Brisiel will most likely be cut or traded. Why? He is a pure zone blocking oline specialist who doesn't fit the power blocking scheme they will be employing in 2013. Jaguars are moving to a zone blocking scheme and they might have interest as you have to as many players that have playeed in that system before. Raiders protected themselve with that signing and save money if he cut.

Tom Kelly is probably gone as Raiders save alot of money in future years . (this one could go either way and isn't as definite as the other two)

Philip Wheeler, Desmond Bryant and Brandon Myers will probably be re signed before Fa starts. Matt Shaughnessy coming off a very bad year and he isn't going to cost much to bring back. (not a big loss either way) None of those Fa I said should be re signed by the time free agency starts are worth the franchise tag.

C Palmer isn't going anywhere. He had one of his best season last year. 565 attempts 345 completions for 4018 yards 61% completion 7.1 average 22 tds and 14 interceptions. good luck with that. Doesn't sound like a good direction to me. If I had to choice one McFadden or Bey to resign just saying it would be Bey if I was Oakland. Both should either be resigned or cut IMO Bey is the better player. McFadden is a 3rd down back nothing more. We could use that you really dont need it. If you do cut Bey don't cry when he has a great year in KC, NE, or Miami.

Dont get me wrong they can create a bunch of cap room (and should do it) but will carry huge sums of dead money which is different than our situation where (with the exception of Sanchez) most of the dead weight doesnt also equal dead cap. Oakland is already northward of $15 million in dead money and will likely create at least another $12 million just to get breathing room and thats assuming they keep Carson Palmer, a trade which set them back 3 or 4 years. To give up a 1st and a 2nd for a guy that was retired, makes a bunch of money, and wasnt good to begin with is insane. They also have Rolando McClain to deal with. Miracles can always happen in the NFL but if there is a team that needs to just blow it up and take their lumps its that one.

No Reggie Mckenzie eating up bad contracts he doesn't want to pay in future years. (started last year) Raiders will have a lot of money to play with in 2014. Raiders are in alot better shape this year than compare to last year. There is a plan in place and he following it. His reputation is the draft- that is his baby.

Reggie trying to get C Palmer to take less money . Don't see a way that C Palmer not their starting Qb in 2013 . To win in this league you need the Qb. Dennis Allen made a mistake radically changing the offense that wasn't the problem. Back in that system the offense isn't that far off from being very good.

The defense needs a lot of work and where a lot of there p-icks will go after they address the oline. (could address Oline in FA and concentrate on the defense mostly in the draft. (expect Raiders to move around alot in this draft.

There are three players on that List. High priority - 1.desmond Bryant - definitely with no Seymour and possible Kelly you need someone familiar with the defense. 2 Philip wheeler had his best season in a raider uniform and deserves a raise.(will be counted on to make the calls 3 Khalif Barnes- missed alot of 2012 with injury and played with one arm. Was a big difference without him in lineup. Even if they upgrade this position this offseason. Still want him back as swing tackle. Other than that done of those other players `are back breakers.


Brandon Myers is best5 suited to be a number 2 TE and not a starter . Wouldn't over pay for him as his lack of blocking really hurts the running game and the passing game. I would put andre carter as bigger re signing than Myers. He started to get healthy and a nice guy for the pass rusher they draft to learn from. ( come off the other corner in pass rushing situations)
