The Triffids Live in Stockholm is another very good live LP, apart from the others mentioned here. The Jerry Lee Lewis in Amsterdam great LP, any of the various ACDC stuff with Bon Scott is great. Cold Chisel; Barking Spiders is awesome; little known band with fantastic songs and a great band from the lead singer down. Edit: ACDC and Cold Chisel were around at the same time in Australia - the lead singer of Cold Chisel has Scottish background like Accadacca and the band members from each of them were friendly with each other. Arguably Chisel have the better songs...certainly Chisel were more popular in this country than ACDC whose popularity is obviously huge here. Barking Spiders matches any live LP ACDC have made; great LP from an under-rated band. Last edited by Soberphobia; 02-12-2013 at 08:01 AM. |

This also gets my vote, in addition to one of my favorite album covers ever
I always preferred the RJ Dio version of Black Sabbath, imo Also for those that don't know, their songs are represented on the front, ie. 'War Pigs', 'Heaven & Hell', 'Neon Knights', etc

Disclaimer: I'm not saying these guys were any good or anything - just throwing this out there to see if anyone else remembers these guys, an album hearkening back to my 80s heavy metal days.... . But for some reason I still remember a lot of these songs off this album

Somewhat obscure, but there's a lot of great tracks on here that are really well done.

Cheap Trick Live at Budokan. I only submit this because the "hits" off this album sound better and are more popular than the studio songs. Also KISS Alive with Rock and Roll all Night, rarely do you hear the studio version.

That was my first mothers album; 1972. I got the dough for that one because my mother liked the Turtles.
Frank Zappa and the Turtles, Mom. Can't go wrong; I'll mow the yard next week. ![]() (Did I really sell my soul for $3.50? Someday I'll find out) |
