Sanchez - Stays for this year, gets the dump-o next year

Greene - Don't let the door hit your fat ass on the way out.

Austin - Stays. Young (26), CHEAP, and a good run blocker (PFF had him as a top 8 run blocker).

Moore - He'll probably make more somewhere else

Holmes - Stays, but takes a slight pay cut / restructures. Jason at nyjetscap lucidly explains how it can be done. We have more leverage than you'd think.

Edwards - Love Bray Bray but new management drops him in favor of younger blood.

Keller - Let him walk in FA. He'll be 29 in September and he'll be more valuable to another team. I'll take the comp pick.

McKnight - Stays but this is his last year unless Marty can somehow make him useful on offense.

Tebow - Screwing a 300 lbs. girl is less of a regret than this trade.

Reuland - Stays. Cheap and a good guy to have as your 3rd TE and backup FB.

Pouha - Stays on but at a reduced rate.

Devito - With the large amount of teams switching to the 3-4 (Eagles, Browns, Saints), you've got to think he'd make decent coin on the open market. Would love to have him as our 4th DL, but he might get priced out.

Pace - Cut but then is re-signed at a later date due to thinness at OLB position.

Thomas - Old and legal troubles. Last year was probably his last NFL season

Scott - Cut

Revis - Traded

Cromartie - Stays on but could be traded if management prefers Revis. We can't afford these two guys anymore

Landry - FA safety market is deep, meaning I don't think he'll get as big of a payday as he thinks he'll get. Regardless, too rich for our blood

Bell - Seemed like a good leader and definitely not a liability on the field. He's up there in age, but I think we can keep him on for another year if he so pleases.

NY's stepchild
Here's hoping that GS3 under center, and Coples on the edge works out.

He wasn't that's why I added him.

Well, there's a difference between who you would like to see go and who you know will.

Sanchez
Greene
Holmes
McKnight
Tebow (unless he can agree to play what the Jets CS wants him to play)
Pace
Thomas
Scott
Cromartie
Bell

Understand this is who I'm getting rid of if I can get rid whomever I choose. Undoubtedly, that does not rhyme with what the salary cap will dictate.

We need to continue to get younger and fasater at all positions, move on from the over priced-over the hill guys and plug in some young guys and get them some experience, rome wasnt built in a day and either will a championship caliber team that the fans are yearning for. Wheter we want to admit it this team is in full blown rebuilding mode.

  • Sanchez – Stay: solely because of his contract we are stuck with him for one more year, but he may not start.
  • Greene – Gone: unless on one picks him up and we get a bottom of the barrel deal.
  • Austin – Stay: the rep is that he progressed enough to continue working with him. Plus, he’s relatively cheap.
  • Moore – Gone: We need to upgrade his performance and the new system doesn’t need his skill set.
  • Holmes – Stay – in large part because of contract, but he also is a solid talent in an areas where we are depleted.
  • Edwards – Gone: he was cut in Seattle and I don’t think Idzik was the lone voice of opposition to keep him.
  • Keller – Gone: will probably want more than we are willing to offer. Likely headed to Atl.
  • McKnight – 50/50: could fit the new scheme and was never given a legitimate shot.
  • Tebow – Gone: He won’t play RB/TE and, as a QB, he’s best suited for a vertical offense – the opposite of what we are running.
  • Reuland – Stay: but nothing more than a body for depth – no impact.
  • Pouha – Gone: He is not worth keeping around with the amount we have drafted for our D-line in the past two years. Plus – he really wasn’t that effective stopping the run this year.
  • Devito – Gone: will get more from the Pats.
  • Pace – Gone: didn’t produce and is too old/slow for the position.
  • Thomas: Gone: is too old/slow for the position, but I really appreciate his value to the team.
  • Scott - Gone: is too old/slow for the position, but I really appreciate his value to the team. He did help turn the mentality of our D around and helped transition in the D.
  • Revis – Stay: We will not get the value we want because of the injury so we will try to take the time to resign him after he proves he recovered. 50/50 he stays with us after next year.
  • Cromartie – Stay: best value/player on the team, period!
  • Landry – Gone: My man wants to get PAID!
  • Bell – Gone: we cannot afford him.
