I'll just list movies from two actors that are better than most of the choices I've seen so far. Only one of them was mentioned already. I think everyone should be able to figure out who the two actors are. They're in no particular order because they're all great movies.

The Color of Money
The Natural
The Towering Inferno
The Sting (the only one I noticed on anyone's list)
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
The Hustler
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Three days of the Condor
Somebody up There Likes Me
Cool Hand Luke
Jeremiah Johnson
All the President's Men

The only other movie on anyone's list with either of those actors had Slapshot as their choice.
The thread was your ten favorite movies, not the best ten movies.

I don't blame you. That movie is twisted as hell.

I was trying to come up with movies that weren't on any other list already. I'm pretty sure we'd all have a few of the same movies, like Star Wars, the Godfather and Pulp Fiction.

I didn't forget them, I just left them off. The closest out of those three to making the list was The Verdict. I also considered The Young Philadelphians, Hud and The Secret War of Harry Frigg, but as good as they were they aren't worthy IMHO. The Hudsucker Proxy wasn't too bad either. Man, that Newman guy sure made a lot of great movies.

Ljr

Even I'm not that old. And I'm not a big Chaplin fan anyway. I'll take the Marx Brothers any day of the week.

I went to college in upstate NY. The town that Nobodys fool was filmed is very typical of upstate NY. Enjoyed that movie more than most people I think.
