Great story, now tell us how your system works with a mongoloid at QB.

Means nothing. We're excited because it's new and different. 8 games into the season, there's a good chance we'll all be calling for Marty's head on a stick.

He's a good OC and I think he will help move this offense in the right direction.

Sanchez might even have a decent year, if he's still here.

edit:

JoeJam, the difference between Sparano and Morninwig is that Marty actually has experience as a play caller and is a proven success with most of his teams finishing in the top 10 in offense -- Tony didn't have that on his resume. To put it plainly, Sparano is a joke of a OC and should have never been hired... and I think it will be quite some time before he gets that title from another team.
Am cautiously optimistic but I think being a proven commodity, Morny will be light years ahead of dip $hits Shoddy and Sparkplug

I'm on the side of caution and just think Mark is so done. I am quite surprised many of u feel this will be a good system for Mark. Really, timing and accuracy fits Mark ? This is the same Mark who constantly is throwing high, low and wide or in panic and many of you think he can succeed in MM system.
If you ask me McElroy seems like the better fit for that system more then Mark. Yet we will see what we will see, I just want a veteran in here who can actually challenge Mark and force him to the bench if he out plays him in T/C. No more handing him the job and saying he is the starter no matter how poorly he practices and plays.

I dunno are we going to have receivers that can actually get open once in a game?

Sure they'll get open, problem is, Sanchez can't hit em.

I hope that never happens, but you know what this place is about.

First incomplete pass, and the offense is worthless.

I wouldn't even call that side arm. It's more like catapult motion

But regardless of the QB, isn't it just easier to assume that none of the QB's on this roster will be able to do jack ****?

In a perfect world we could cut Sanchez, Tebow and McElroy.

In a ok world we can cut Tebow and McElroy.

It's a ok world.

I love Tim in that VW commercial where he plays catch with a kid.

Didn't you know? Tebow is judged by a different standard by his little cult.

If we go into the season with pretty much the same players on offense then it will be warranted.

Well, maybe no the first pass . . . .

It is not a good offense for the Jets current QB's on the roster.
Maybe Chadwick give it another shot???

"Lots of skinny posts ..." "Likes to take shots downfield ..."

Music to my ears. If I had a dime for every time Schott/Sparano let Sanchez throw the ball down the field ... well, I'd be broke. Asking Sanchez to dink and dunk (which requires accuracy) 15 play drives every possession just ain't gonna happen.

It may not be Sanchez this year but in a QB friendly offense under MM -- McElroy, Sims, and draft pick will compete.

I love the fact that Vick's completion percentage went from 53% in Atlanta to 60% in Philly under MM.

The main knock on Sanchez is completion % (as well as knowing where the pressure is coming from) but who knows, if he's comfortable and confident in the pocket, he can revert back to 2009 / 10 and sling the ball downfield.
