Jets 2013; Free Agent Running Backs
With our QB situation it is necessary we have an effective running game. Our leading rusher Shonn Greene averaged only 3.9 yards a carry and no other tailback rushed for over 500 yards. With free agency right around the corner can you see any of these acquisitions helping us next season?
Steven Jackson Reggie Bush Rashard Mendenhall Ahmad Bradshaw Cedric Benson Bernard Scott Felix Jones Peyton Hillis Brandon Jacobs Danny Woodhead Cedric Peerman Rashad Jennings La'Rod Stephens-Howling Justin Forsett Javon Ringer Ronnie Brown Tim Hightower Chris Rainey Kevin Smith Brian Leonard Mike Goodson Jalen Parmele Ryan Grant Steve Slaton Thomas Jones Joseph Addai Mewelde Moore Cadillac Williams Jackie Battle Kahlil Bell Tashard Choice Brandon Jackson Stefan Logan Jerome Harrison Tyrell Sutton Darius Reynaud Kregg Lumpkin Yankees and Mets fans are you interested in seeing your team on opening day? I would love to sign Mendenhall to a 2-3 year deal.

Wouldn't mind seeing Stephens-Howling get a look. Made some dynamic plays on an offense more anemic than ours last year. A more refined Joe McKnight if you will.

You beat me to it. He is small but is a really good receiver and can return kicks. Not a bad complimentary guy to what is already there, and to what could be drafted.

Mike Goodson might fit that bill as well. Made some good plays for the Panthers a few years ago when both Williams and Stewart went down. Low mileage guy who gives you pretty much everything you get from McKnight, but has had more success thus far in his career than JM.

I'll take Justin Forsett, Chris Rainey, or Javon Ringer. Rainey is better then anyone in this draft and I have always liked Forsetts game. No clue why he hasn't gotten a better job. Ringer I still think could be a good back.

We wont be signing any of those guys. Powell, Mcknight, a 2nd/3rd round draft pick and a street free agent will be our rbs this year.

This draft is that bad. If not for his attitude Rainey would have been a 2nd rounder. He has some good talent and was cut over an incident that was too bad. Send him to anger management and give him league min.

Except for Sjax, none of these guys interest me. And even Sjax is a huge risk at this stage of his career.
Powell and a mid round pick is the way to go. |

![]() You can't be serious. This draft is very deep at RB, Lacey is not far off from Trent Richardson fro last year's crop. Montee Ball probably came out a year too late, would have been a first round pick last year. Benard from Carolina has a lot of talent. I will say that is a rather lengthy FA RB list. I do like Mendenhall, Jones, and Stephens-Howling from the list, Mendenhall is probably a better fit with Powell and McKnight, Jones and Stephens-Howling are probably redundant to both of our players. I think Jets take a RB in this draft, and Lacey is not out of the question at 9, but I can see Ball, Benard, and Taylor being targets. |

Honestly, I don't believe any money should be wasted on any of these RBs.
Draft one and go from there. We need so much, we can't afford anybody's garbage right now. |

Don't want any of these guys.
Give me someone like Taylor, Ball, or Randle in the 2nd or 3rd round. |

Lacy, Ball, Taylor, Lattimore Rainey is a bad apple. This team doesn't need any more bad guys. Not only is he a bad guy, he isn't very good, or Pitt wouldn't release him. Cant say they just cut him based off his off the field antics..they kept Roethlisberger after-all. |

Wouldn't mind bringing in Peyton Hillis or Brian Leonard at FB, though.
