I don't need to brag about it.

But I will refer to it when I'm challenged on my debt level or preached-upon by a do-gooder who doesn't practice what he preaches.

You go give up something you love. Your dog, your cigarettes, your beer, your fast food, your movies, your pornography. Then you come back here and tell me what I should do with my Jets tickets.

psls are not a longterm or short term investment to capitalize on by any means.

psls are basically your donation to the owner of your favorite sports team.

kraft built a new stadium in new england where success has been plenty and never charged his fans a psl fee.
We agree on something at least - PSLs are not an invesment. They are disposable income spent on entertainment.

That doesn't change their affect on ticket pricing.

Again, no PSL = higher ticket prices. All of those New England fans are now financing that stadium at whatever rate the Patriots have with their creditors. It's hidden from them because it's bundeled in the price of the ticket, but they are paying Bob Kraft's financing costs.

You totally contradicted yourself. You said you don't think it's wise to carry a mortgage, but yet you then say we should be like the Patriots fans who are paying Bob Kraft's mortgage. If they had a PSL, they would have the option not to pay Bob Kraft's mortgage.

Financing your own real estate can be beneficial, because of the tax deducation. Financing someone else's real estate (i.e. Bob Kraft's), not good because their is no deduction and you are subject to their credit rating, not your own.

I don't need to be patted on the back for my success.

I just don't need to be told that I'm wasting my money on a football team by someone who is wasting his money on his dog, cigarettes, beer, fast food, and movies.

The minute one of you preachers gives up something unnecessary that you love is the minute you can tell us what we should be doing with our money.

Look! It's a lower sideline ticket at Gillette Stadium! It's $169! The Jets only charge $145! The Patriots ticket is 17% more expensive! OMG! Let's call the newspapers! Let's protest! It's outrageous how inexpensive Jets tickets are, and our stadium is brand new!

65% of all BMW's are leased.

Leasing is more expensive than owning.

Jets have highest ticket prices

New York Jets can at least call themselves champions in one category: ticket prices.

The Jets have the highest average, non-premium ticket price in the league at $117.94, according to Team Marketing Report's Fan Cost Index, which was released Thursday afternoon.

Highest Ticket Prices in NFL
At $117.94, the New York Jets have the highest average ticket price in the NFL, according to the Team Marketing Report's Fan Cost Index. Here's a look at the most expensive tickets in the league:

Team Ticket price
Jets $117.94
Patriots $117.84
Giants $111.69
Bears $110.91
Cowboys $110.70

The Jets topped the Patriots, who have sold out every game since 1994, by 10 cents ($117.84).

In its annual survey, Team Marketing Report found that the average NFL ticket, purchased from a team, will cost $78.38 this season, up 2.5 percent from last year. The average cost to bring a family to the game and buy four regular tickets (not suite or club), two beers, four hot dogs, parking, program and two adult size hats is $443.93, up 3.9 percent from last year.

Besides the Jets and Patriots, three other teams have non-suite tickets that are selling for more than $100: New York Giants ($111.69), Chicago Bears ($110.91) and Dallas Cowboys ($110.20).

The teams with the cheapest average tickets: Cleveland Browns ($54.20), Buffalo Bills ($58.36) and Jacksonville Jaguars ($59.54).

TMR says 10 teams raised ticket prices by at least one percent this year, up from the nine that dared to make increases coming into the lockout last season. The largest increase? The Chicago Bears at 9.3 percent. The average cost of a beer at a game is up 15 cents from last year to $7.28, the study found.

I see you use way too much of your time here. Compare post counts. Who puts more of their time in? LOL I work from home on the pc during weekends and most evenings. Takes me less than 5 minutes to peruse Jets forums. Sometimes a bit longer when I feel like it.

Never. Hate movie theaters.
Once a year, although last year I didn`t.

No pets.

Still don`t have a dog or any pets. Sorry that disappoints you. Like I said, don`t give a flying monkey`s arse what you spend your money on. I just hate Woody getting it. I want him out. I want the Jets out of the Giants shadows. I want the new Giants Stadium to crumble and sink. If I can get just one fan to realize just how dumb this all is, then I win. Actually, I`ve gotten a few to realize it so I`ve already won. Just piling on now.

The thing is, after the dot-com bust, we lost everything. There was a point where I literally had less than $5 in the bank and no assets whatsoever.

I didn't blame any one else, and I didn't spend all my time on an Internet message board taking it out on others. I spent that precious time and all my energy rebuilding my life. Today, I am in better financial shape than ever because of it. I can afford Jets club seats, Isles season tickets, Marriott Vacation club, etc.

It's sad and ironic that people who come here to complain about other people spending their own money are really only hurting themselves. It's a lost opportunity to be doing something more productive or enjoyable and all the negativity can't be good for their health.

All good facts, but this is just going to confuse some people on this thread further. When it comes to it's value, all real estate is local. NYC > Foxborough > Cleveland. There's no getting around the fact that a stadium and the land it's on cost more in NYC metro area than in Arizona. This difference is built in to the ticket prices.

Gotta say it's a sad day when you go to read about NFL football and the Jets on this board and read about: people joking to shoot a pet, insulting immigrants, bashing blue collar workers...I enjoy football as a relief from that crap! Thought this forum was above this childish behavior.
