They were, which is why they released guys like Boley, Bradshaw and Canty. They still may have to let Diehl go too. In reality, they were in worse shape than the Jets were in that they had to release guys who still had value. Besides Pace, I'm not sure the Jets would have brought any of those guys back irrespective of their cap numbers.

It might have been a 2 stage deal so that the cap hit this year is less than usual. I had him and Vollmer about even so i guess that is the Market for Volmer.

It is one thing to build a team it is another thing to keep it together. NO last year, Balt and the Giants this year, even Pitt will lose players again this year.

They're going to have to release or let walk a lot of role players.

They're 2 years behind where the Jets are now (capwise), except they won a Superbowl, so it's kind of palatable for a Giants fan.
