Thomas Brady was smart, he has mountain's of cash and wants some more glory as he heads toward the end of his career - so he gave a cap friendly deal that is high in guarantees. If Brady stays healthy, that extra cash saved by the patriots can be spent on a few key role players that can make the difference between wins and losses.
Good for Joe! In 6 years he can worry about taking less to win another title. Brady hasn't won one in quite some time.

Flacco will dominate the NFL for the next 10 years.

When have the the Jets had a QB with the skills of a QB like Flacco?

Do you think the Jets would have won a Superbowl if Flacco was drafted by the Jets under Schottenheimer? It's an interesting question.

Flacco could dominate for the next 20 years and still be far statistically inferior to Brees, who is going to own all the records in time and likely go down as the greatest ever.

Indoors 9 94.1 224 365 61.4 2797 310.8 7.7 26 13

In 2008 and 2009 he was better indoors, but then in 2007 he was much better outdoors... Overall he's just a fantastic qb regardless of where he plays.

Ummmm why bother.....people just make stuff up as they go along......

Yea Flacco is better than Brees.....

And if Flacco were here he would have "lifted" or turned the Jets Chad Schilens into Boldin and Greene into Ray Rice!!!!

The same goobers out here who say that Sanchez sucks are the same folks who would have been booing Flacco and insulting his mama after year three.....

You cant make it up...

But yea Flacco is the best QB for the next twenty years..... FF run amuck...

Good Grief!!

As I recall, we were interested in Flacco. He was a "reach" at 6 when we picked Ghostown (proving the fallacy of the reach). Baltimore was hot for Flacco and moved up to take him. As I recall, part of the reason was concern about the Jets interest.

And I agree with you about the douche.

Flacco had them by the balls. They couldnt go nonexclusive at $14.6m because another team wouldve signed him so they were limited to the exclusive tag at $20m, but with escalators, the tag wouldve been $24m next year and $35m the following year.

3. Peyton
4. Sanchez
5. Flacco
6. Brees

Sorry guys, Brees is not as good outside of a dome check the stats.

This is a stupid post. Flacco and Sanchez werent even drafted in same year so the Jets never had the chance to choose between.

In fact, Mangini and Tannenbaum chose Chad instead of Flacco because he was the starter going into the 2008 draft. It was only until August when they decided to pursue Favre.

Yes, but you said the Jets passed over Flacco because they wanted Sanchez who didnt even come out of school until the next year.

So unless the Jets had some limited precognition ability, your mentioning of Sanchez in your earlier post makes absolutely no sense.
