So your answer is Percy Harvin? With a 2nd? With a Holmes? And a Sanchez, and a Harris, and a Revis? With upcoming gaping holes in an offensive line whose job it is to protect the guy throwing the ball? Do you even pay attention to this team?

He is literally an often injured Santonio Holmes minus a few arrests and a Super Bowl MVP. I really don't understand the infatuation.

Wow - so we should let go Revis - cause we sure wont be able to afford him and trade away valuable draft picks for Percy Harvin who also wants a big payday just like Revis. This way we cant fill any other positions - but we got our playmaker - but nobody to throw him the ball and nobody to protect the QB.
Sure in a perfect world you would want Harvin on your team but the Jets r far from perfect. If hes the missing piece on a playoff team then sure but its just not the case here.

The Jets need more than just one guy. You've got to resign Landry, add talent to basically every unit on the offensive side of the ball and find a pass rusher.

Working with Holmes, Kerley and Hill are better options than blowing what is left of your cap on one guy and you'll have to do that to get Harvin.

Or ... let's choose another Brick, or Mangold, or Revis, or Wilkerson, or Coples, or Kerley ...

Harvin makes ZERO sense on so many levels. Where is the money coming from to pay him? Not to mention that he is always injured, needs a new contract, and there are options in this draft that will cost 1/4 of what Harvin will cost. Terrible idea.

You're just going to dig your heels in and spout completely irrational statements like this rather than recognize that ever single poster on this thread disagrees with you, huh?

The only way Tebow can get him the ball is if he hands it off to him. You've seen McElroy for all of about 5 quarters, and Sanchez is a giant question mark. Add to that we have NO starting Guards and not much of a running game to support any passing game. Harvin is not the 'missing ingredient' by a long shot.

The question usually being "how soon can we get rid of this guy"?

The Jets are in no position to trade picks for players. They should be trading players for picks.

But I keep hearing that Sanchez's play, particularly his regression, is the result of him just sucking, not the lack of playmakers. Which is it?

Well the Harvin thing has been discussed a lot already, going back to last off season. It is a ridiculously bad idea for the Jets.

Plus everyone knows you do not have PSLs.

Sure if you are playing Madden or fantasy football, but in the real world Harvin to the Jets is wrong on so many levels. Not sure why you can not see this.

so is keeping sanchez as the starting qb. the jets and wrong are perfect together.

why not trade holmes for harvin even up.

I agree that Harvin would make this offense MUCH better. He is far better than Holmes and is on the cusp of becoming an elite WR. But giving up a high pick for Harvin is a bad decision for this team. First off, he is a head case, second of all he wants Calvin Johnson money next year something we can't afford to dish out and something he is not worth. So if we trade for him and he opts for FA next year, we gave up a 2nd for a 1 year rental on a team not really built to win this year. That would be a disaster when this draft is VERY deep with players that could step in and start for this team this year (Guard/LB) or QBs with upside that COULD eventually step in and start.

Why would Minnesota do that? I seriously dont think you realize that these players play for real money and that money needs to be accounted for.
