He is not that big but should be well rested not having been on the field very much in two years. A warm body to compete.
I didn't like Greene BUT he could get on the field and get "some" numbers.

Can't hurt to draft a Gio bernard or Gillisie from rds 2-4.

I've said this from December forward -> we need to draft Warmack, period.

I wanted Lacy or Bernard. Those guys are studs. This guy is not going to be a stud, but could be a good change of pace guy. Powell should honestly not even touch the ball. No talent with him.

Exactly.. The numbers of the contract mean very little. Comes down to the exact structure and what we're talking about with guaranteed money.

The Jets could draft a back but it's not likely to happen high in the draft. I think the Jets will continue to look for playmaker types. Don't expect to see someone like Lacy drafted as much as I love him.

And Goodson is basically 2 full years younger than Shonn Greene which is a good thing. Only issue is the fumbling. Definitely has to get that sorted out.

I think they will wait until at least the 4th round now to drat a RB. Most of the value for RBs this year is 4th -6th round anyway. Jets can still need another back.

I do appreciate your point about youth in this league but this guy just got a decent salary for not doing much in this league and Jackson only got 4 million guarented. Granted Jackson probably would not have come here because he probably would prefer a team a step away from a Super Bowl but honestly looking at the money paid to each give me Jackson all day

There is just ZERO upside to signing an aging 30 year old RB on a one year deal for the Jets. Offers nothing in the rebuilding process.

I was thinking 4th. 1st round talent in the 4th..If he even lasts that long..

If the Jets get additional picks via trades (Revis / Draft Day) it may be worth to take a shot on him, if the Drs sign off on him

Great signing.

Young, big, fast, low miles, high upside. These are exactly the types of players the Jets should and will be targeting. Get used to it.

I 100% agree with this in the 4th and 5th rounds. I think team that is solid at the spot say a Atlanta Falcons team takes him with the mindset of redshirting him a full season let him heal, then come in year 2 as a backup to Jackson. In year 3 he can start and Jackson will either be the backup or be released.
