2008. Gholston, Keller, Lowery, Ainge, Henry, Garner.... seriously?
2009: Sanchez, Greene, Slauson.
2010: Wilson, Ducasse, McKnight, Connor

That is piss poor by any definition.

Not only do they have the fewest picks in the entire league during this 3 year period, they missed on nearly every single one.
Wow, when you put it like that, I want to puke.

no longer will we be forced to watch the old slow guys while younger faster players rot on the bench. i expect this year's draft to emphasize speed. goodson is just one example.

Agreed. Other than Sanchez, all of Rex's guys are gone. He'll be forced to play the best players rather than "his guys"

NY's stepchild
Here's hoping that GS3 under center, and Coples on the edge works out.

That is pretty ugly, but it may look a little better if you include 2011, 2012

on some level i'm wondering if that had anything to do with letting keller go.

Tanny should have been fired for the Ducasse pick alone!

I remember watching that draft with a buddy, (Pats fan), & I was like WHO?
Then I saw he was from UMASS & I was like WHAT!

Then you find out that he's still LEARNING the game, WHAT?
Then you find out there is a bit of a learning gap, WHAT?

Think about this, when you take a Guard in the 2nd round & he busts, that is a fireable offense!
A Guard from UMASS!
We have people on this board who will go nuts if we take the concensus BEST GUARD in the draft @ 9 in Chance Warmack but Tanny took a NOBODY in the 2nd round of the draft!
2nd ROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is an important pick.

Absolutely and the reality is..our drafts (even if average) puts us in an 8-8 scenario at best.

We must be better at drafting , even in the late rounds and then we need to develop these players.

Average is pretty bad in the NFL as it is a NON playoff stat.

Keller is so replacable its funny.
He had to be the most overated TE in Jets history!
He couldn't carry Mickey Shulers jock strap!

When you really think about it Johnny Mitchell had more exciting runs after catch & he didn't even really want to play.

I hope Miami crashes & burns like the Redskins did after they went FA crazy.

I know i could have done better than that and nobody's paying me. That 2008draft would have never happen on my watch.

Never.

I never wanted Gholston and i don't draft TEs with 1st round picks.
