Pre draft rankings: Oooof

Sorry the format was to sloppy.

It's going to be a long season

31-Jets 6-10 Welcome to the Rex-odus. Seven of the 22 starters from last year's 6-10 team are gone. (Hensley)

There not the only place predicting we will be drafting in the Top 3.

If we are going to suck then we better really suck. I think after the first quarter of the season you will begin to see teams jockey for draft position. The Top 3 looks like it will be a good place to be for the 2014 draft.

Now if the legend of Jets luck (which is kind of SOJ like but not in the Jets control) is true, we will go 9-7or 10-6 next year.

I think anyone whos watched the Jets in the last 15 years knows we will at least 9 games solely based on the fact that everyone thinks we are going to suck.

Isn't it more than 7 starters being replaced? Keller, Slauson, Moore, Greene, Pouha, Pace, Thomas, Scott, Landry and Bell. And maybe Revis and Sanchez.

So aging ineffective starters leaving from a bad team is a bad thing?

Whatever. As someone said, if we're going to suck, this is a good year. I would take 1-15 right now if it meant bridgewater.

Glad we're not hanging onto our decrepit departures and guarenteeing a mediocre 6 or 7 wins again. I love how media thinks this is baseball with long rebuild times. With this much roster turnover, if we get decent qb play we could be a playoff team.

But nope, Jim Nobody says it's doom and gloom for sure.

Amazing that the media wants you to think we are dismantling the 1985
Bears. We were 6-10, older & under-performing players should be cut loose.
And for everyone crying the blues that "rebuilding" will take years, just
look back at the Jets from 2005 to 2006. A ton of similarities to what's
going on today

The main problem is that for New York sports fans and equivalently the writers, the word "rebuilding" is blasphemy. It is a bad word that nobody likes, even if it's a good thing. It shows weakness.

Exactly, I think we have already IMPROVED from last year with the moves made in free agency.

Go check the pre-season rankings from 2009.

The Jets were projected for a max of 6 wins and were supposed to be rebuilding for years.

Point is these things mean less than nothing.

Why should anyone care about what an "expert" has to say about a team in freaking March?!?!?!

And why do you guys keep clicking on these articles written by these "experts" just to give them more hits, and more reasons to keep writing this garbage????

+1

Play the kids, draft well. Show some spark towards the end of the year but still end up with a top pick. Draft well again, replace the HC if necessary and finish off the internal repair job on the team cap. Go into 2014 with some genuine aspirations about being able to do some damage asgainst good teams.
