What the hell are you talking about? "DBs" are drafted to be CB first and foremost, if they don't pan out or get old, they move to saftey. There is a reason why CBs are paid more than safteys even though there are more of them on NFL rosters.

It certainly seems that corners have been drafted a lot in the first, regardless of the positions importance there has been a move to 3 cb sets being the norm for 1/2 of the def snaps. The nickle back is practically a starter so you actually filling three positions on defense.

Landry was drafted with the 6 pick in the first rd in the same draft as Revis when did he play CB??

Who knows? Maybe he thinks he's got something with Bush and Allen?
First off, when did anyone claim that Rex was brought in because he was great at getting players off the scrap heap? He was never a GM or even head coach before he came here. There was never any indication that he was ever involved in player personel at Baltimore.

I think you mean he was able to do more with players that came to him from the scrap heap on defense. Which I think is still true. Our defense has been very good since Rex got here and he has done great with "scrap heap" type players. For ex: Eric Smith/Leonard/Pace/Scott/Thomas/Devito/etc..

do you understand the concept of sample size? Just because a player got drafted high doesn't mean that his situation is an indicator for his entire position. How many CB's have been drafted in the 1st round in the last 5 years? How many Safteys?

My only point was they are drafted as DB's not CB's or Safety's..

The only thing that "DB" means is that person using it doesn't know if the guy is a CB or a safety.

Yet they seem to know who is a DE or a DT.. Otherwise it would be just D-Lineman wouldn't it??

3-4,4-3 DE's are essentially two different positions that you're lumping in together. Regardless 21/27 is very close.

Skimming through my vast memories of the draft over the last 6 years , I can't help but recall how sad it is that the Bills have practically had a top 10 pick in each of those years, yet they still continue to suck over and over and over.
