That is what I heard today. The trade would involve Kurt Thomas for Sczerbiack. I say go right ahead with the trade, I'm sick of Kurt Thomas and his sub par jumper.

If this allows us to start Michael Sweetney than good.

C - Nazr
PF - Sweetney
SF - Wally
SG - Houston/Crawford
PG - Marbury

BOOT BOTH THE THOMAS'. I love bringing Szerbiak back to NY where he played his HS BALL (Cold Spring Harbor, LI). Bringing a player home only reeps the best of his abilities I.E. Marbury Brooklyn born and raised. The missing piece to the NEW YORK KNICKS is ELTON BRAND, Peekskill born and raised.

This is officially the softest line-up in both the NBA and the WNBA.

And Nazr/KT/Tim Thomas/Houston/Marbury isn't already the softest? LOL

KT has this big rap for being a tough player, but he's not. He's pretty soft himself. And Tim Thomas is the biggest wussy I ever seen.

Why is Thomas so hell bent on trading Kurt? The guy is a good player and they need him. Wally is good, but why do the Knicks need another shooter when they have Marbury, Houston, Crawford, Hardaway, etc...I know some of these guys are hurt, but unless the deal involves moving Penny its a bad move for the Knicks.

That would a terrible trade....

Kurt is the best rebounder and defensive player on the team....I'd pass on that one.

True.

But trading Kurt gets rid of another decent defender. We will become another version of the Dan Issel Nuggets. Lead the league in scoring, and won't be able to stop anyone.

if this happens, say goodbye to the last remaining player who ever played and epitomized Knick basketball...heart and toughness

Oakley, XMan, Mason, Starks, Spree, and now KT

Can't blame KT too much for their problems. Marbury and Houston have played poorly offensively, and Houston can't guard a stationary object right now.

Knicks need Crawford back badly. There is no outside threat when Houston is on the bench. Tim Thomas is injured, and even when healthy, not scaring anyone with his shooting. Marbury is way off his shooting game these days.

Man, it looks rough. Almost like the type of team Layden had, except it's younger and more talented.
