He only won when he had Mumbles.
Now I'm sure the Football world knows he was the brains behind everything. The Tuna is hated by many people in the media, but now with this It's a sure thing he'll never get in. :D |

I'm pretty sure no matter what happens Tuna will get in the Hall of Fame
no doubt in my mind about it What Belichick does has no effect on what he has done |

Ridiculous. Tuna just needs to retire, stay retired, and he'll be elected the first year of eligibility.

And neither of them won without Romeo on thier staff. Should we use that against both of them? stfu...............
But Romeo has never won as a HC. That's the key ingredient to this whole argument. What's interesting is that in NO other coaching tree does the success of one of the members detract from the success of any of the others. Bill Walsh isn't thought of any worse b/c Gruden, Seifert, and Holmgren have won titles. What is it specifically about Parcells that makes us want to tear him down? Oh yeah....He's an ego driven self absorbed a**hole. Parcells definitely benefited from having BB around but he's still a good coach. I can't call him a great coach anymore, but he's definitely a good coach. People like to point out how he's turned around all these different franchises. I think that's a bad thing. He only won SB's with one of them and failed to finish the job everywhere else. He's the contractor that tears down all the walls in your house and then quits before he finishes what he was supposed to do. Screw him. Make him wait to be elected. I'd love to see him not get in for like 10 years and have Belichick get in before him. That would be great. |

Absurd post.
While another title for Bellichick probably catapults him past Parcells as the best coach of his era, nowhere is it written that only one coach per era goes to the Hall. Plus, Parcells is surely owed some credit for molding Belichick in much the same way Bobby Knight gets credit for Coach K and Dean Smith gets credit for Roy Williams, Larry Brown, etc... And while Parcells has never won a bowl without Bill, he did a fantastic job getting a pathetic Dallas team into the playoffs in '03 -- without Mumbles. That was the third time he's essentially resurrected a dead franchise. Keep in mind that the current Pats are built atop the foundation Parcells constructed. And I don't need to remind anyone around here how much credibility the Jets had before Tuna showed up. (4-33 before Tuna; only one losing season since.) Parcells is a hall of fame coach. Period. |

Actually, BB and Vince Lombardi have identical 9-1 playoff records. Rumour has it that after the Pats crush the Eagles, they will be changing the Super Bowl trophy name from the Lombardi Trophy to the Belichick Trophy. ;) |

Sadly, I can't defend this idea.
I hate Parcells, but he's a shoe-in. |
