Why admit to a good thing that you could lose? Its like those bits by Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock: some guys that get caught red-handed cheating on their women will just deny everything. You could have video of these guys in mid-hump and they'll still deny everything. I guess they think if you just keep denying it, it will stick.

True...quite true...yet don't forget- when caught in a red handed lie you then must claim it was a "right-wing conspiracy!!" |

by the way if there are homemade web sites that sound like me it is because they are stealing from me, not vice versa. I emply the warfish approach - read major media from both sides (i.e. Fox and CNN) and merge the two to come up with own opinions. It's the "bman" phenomenon - just because there are multiple posters with the same opinions that doesn't mean they are all the same posters. So it goes with me, if there are lame websites that sound like me that's because they formed their opinions at the same time as me not because I am a non-thinker. That's probably the most insulting thing you could lay at my feet.
Also I read financial times and WSJ because these people have a bias toward making money not toward any particular ideology. |

Half the media is Liberal biased, half the media is Con biased. I think there might be one small newspaper in Walla walla that is unbiased. The sure way to tell if a media outlet is biased is as follows. If they agree with your viewpoint on anything they are beacons of impartiality. If they disagree with your viewpoint they are totally biased and obviously out to smear the political side you favour.
Carry on. |

50-50? Not even close; I would say 85-15 in favor of liberals. The REAL test is: does a story show both sides? Mostly, the 15% do.
Mothers Plan Opposing War Marches on D.C.
By JENNIFER C. KERR WASHINGTON (AP) - Diane Ibbotson and H. Elaine Johnson are grieving mothers. Both lost sons in Iraq, and both feel strongly enough about the war to travel to the nation's capital for demonstrations. That is where the similarities end. Johnson will be protesting the war, while Ibbotson will be speaking out in support of the military action. Organizers of Saturday's anti-war protest predict about 100,000 people will crowd the Ellipse near the White House for a rally and march. Among those expected are Cindy Sheehan, the California mother who drew thousands of protesters to her 26-day vigil outside President Bush's Texas ranch last month. Sheehan's 24-year-old son, Casey, was killed in an ambush in Sadr City, Iraq, last year. Ibbotson's son, Forest Jostes, was killed in the same ambush. Ibbotson, from Albion, Ill., said war protesters dishonor the service of her son and others who have died. "There are families who lose children in accidents, in tragic illnesses. Young people die and it seems without a purpose," said Ibbotson, whose son was 21. "My son gave his life for a cause that he believed in. He fought and died for God and country." Ibbotson is part of the Iowa-based group Families United for Our Troops. She's one of 25 "Gold Star" families who lost loved ones in Afghanistan or Iraq who will speak at a news conference Saturday morning and then attend a rally for military families on the Mall on Sunday. Johnson, from Orangeburg, S.C., lost her son, Darius Jennings, when his Chinook helicopter was shot down in Iraq in November 2003. The United States, she said, should not have invaded Iraq. "My son gave his life for his country," she said. "The war was a mistake from the beginning, so my son died for oil." Darius Jennings was 22. Johnson says she will continue to speak out against the war until the last soldier is brought home. Johnson joined Cindy Sheehan and other mothers against the war for a small rally near the Washington Monument on Friday. They spoke just a few feet from 1,000 white wooden crosses tucked into the grass to symbolize the more than 1,900 members of the U.S. military who have died since the beginning of the war in March 2003. More than 40 sets of black military boots also symbolize war dead. Ken and Linda Martin came from Pentwater, Mich., for Saturday's anti-war protest. "Just get the kids home," said Ken, who's 70. Linda, 65, said she'd rather see America's tax dollars spent on problems at home like areas damaged by hurricanes and underfunded schools. Anti-war protesters will march to the front of the White House and down to the Justice Department before circling back to the Washington Monument for an 11-hour concert and rally featuring folk singer Joan Baez. War supporters will line part of the march route. Other anti-war protests are planned Saturday in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle.
http://dailynews.att.net/cgi-bin/news?e=pri&dt=050923&cat=news&st=newsd8cq9mco1&src=ap So let's break down this AP story......disregarding the initial two paragraphs which set up the story it contains three paragraphs about a "pro-war" mother of a deceased soldier who died in battle and will be attending a rally tomorrow.... Of course there are ten paragraphs which mention four different parents whom are, of course, war protestors....nah- no lib bias from the AP.... |

CBNY the bias is toward what people want to hear. These people are entertainers as much as journalists. Note there was no qualms from the media for the first 4 years of Bush presidency - now that the man and his agenda are in the dog house it's vulture time. 6 out of 10 Americans believe we are losing Iraq, what do you expect mainstream media to pander to the fringe minority? :D |

Does you realize how incompetent you sound with posts like that? Seriously... You keep quoting these ridiculous polls of 1000 people like they are Gospel and they speak for all of America- where in the hell do "6 out of 10 people believe we are losing in Iraq"?? Daily Kos?? the DUmpster, er Democratic Underground?? You further the ridiculous nature of your post with "it's bias towards what people want to hear".... Answer me this then genious- why is FoxNews, (free speech hated by the left) kicking everyone's a$s when it comes to 24-hour news?? Here are some more questions Einstien- did everyone want to hear the stories made up by See B.S. and Newsweak (disregarding the fringe lunatic left you pander to of course)?????? Of course in the end your post does help prove my point about what whores the MSM is- report the news?? nah.....just create sh!t you think people want to hear!
