Actually 5-0 game agaisnt the Pats in 04, everyone acknowledged Chad had audibled at the line when he threw the pick at the end there..
Oh, I am sure Chad audibled a few times. I am just saying in the drive against Pittsburgh leading up to Brien's missed FG, there is no way in hell Herm would have let him audible.
Chad can audible when he sees the Pitts defense stacked in the box. But he didn't....
Actually in Herm and Hackett's system Chad was not even allowed to audible initially. They were idiots for mandating this and Chad should have given them the bird right then and there.

A healthy Chad is a better than average QB. Certainly better than Dilfer and I can't imagine him having a worse game than Rothlesberger did in the Super Bowl. I think it would be fair to say he would be 1st on the depth chart heading into camp in the following cities if he were healthy:
Buffalo
Baltimore
Cleveland
Oakland
San Diego
Tenn
Detroit
Minny

A return to previous form would have a very good chance to win the following jobs now:

Chicago (Grossman/Griese)
Miami (Where's D.C. @ now?...Harrington?)
SF (Smith or Dilfer?)
Washington (Brunell just as I.P. & older or a rook?)
Dallas (Bledsoe, now there's a choker)
AZ (Warner should be on a mission to Africa, Leinart?)
NO (Brees injury not much different)
TB (Simms...we'll see)

That doesn't include. Carr, E. Manning who have yet to prove they are bonafide all star QB's

It also doesn't include Leftwich, Palmer, who have had their own pretty serious injuries. Deosn't include Favre and Green who are approaching social security, or Plummer who is the ultimate choker next to Bledsoe.

So in the end it's about can Chad return to form. If he does great. The team will have solid leadership and QB play with hopefully a more diversified offense.

If Clemens or Ramsey beat him out from there...fantastic!

So basically Chad's would have a better then average chance of starting for all but 9 teams? C'mon...I wonder why we drafted a QB in round 2 then?

I stick to my original thought and hope he's released next year. Then those 23 teams can fight over him in FA....

Go Ramsey!

You sir, are living in a fantasy world. Most of those teams would want nothing to do with Chadwick Pennington, healthy or not.

You are just a poor Judge of Talent. Or head coaching ability which is a talent in itself.

Does this sound like the same Jazz we heard last season. Poop out of his mouth. That what this is. Poop. He is done. Get over it.

2 things this board needs to get over. Chad Pennyboy and Herm Edwards. Chad is done and Herm is no longer our coach.

Could not have said it any better J.I.F.

Saying it is one thing, getting on the field and doing it is something else.

With all of Chad's past ra-ra speeches, I'll definitely take this one with a grain of salt.

"I'm not only getting stronger, I'm getting as strong as I've ever been," Pennington said.

He said he will be the QB and he will no doubt. 30 weeks is around this week thats how long it was from the surgery to the Kc game last year he still has more than 30 weeks. He'll be back.

It is getting old. He is the highest paid cheerleader in the world. It is ridiculous. I cant stand him anymore. Ever since the "you are privileged" speech, he has just been pooping out his mouth. He is full of it. Let it go. The best thing to do in this situation is.......step aside, let the new guys try to do something. A lot of people on this thread said I dont think Herm was bad, it is just time to move on. People said he has done what he can do and it is time to try something new. Those people need to take a page out of that book and apply it to Chad.

Back as what?

The QB who sets Mangini and the Jets back another 5 years?

It will end up easily being a non-issue as Ramsey beats PennyBoy out in training camp.

If Penny gets beat out in TC by Ramsey or someone else, then the best man won the job. That is great with me! As long as the best man plays then it is fine.

Yep. Pat will be the guy. Chad is done, he needs to give it up. Do what is best for the team and let someone else hold the reigns.

I stand by my first post - hoping that a Jet player fails is not something I would ever do. I hope Dolphin players fail. I hope Patriot players fail. I do not root against Jet players. Worst case scenario, Pennington gives the other QB's competition and makes them get better.
Have you seen some of the shots that Manning and Brady have taken?

Neither one of them has ever missed a start in their NFL career.

And neither Manning nor Brady would have torn their rotator cuff from that hit.
You are now officially a joke.

What many of you morons don't understand is that Chad Pennington has a fully rebuilt rotator cuff. Dr James Andrews, MD rebuilt this cuff and in the end, will make Chad's shoulder capsule stronger than ever. I have close family and friends who are doctors (orthopedic podiatric (foot and ankle) surgeons who have experience in doing complete foot and ankle reconstructions and they have said that a shoulder injury is of the same magnitude and that Chad can and will likely make the comeback.

Chad is a man of his word and will make the comeback.....

SarI ....I's got two words for you...."F YOU" !!! :P
