Trade A-Rod???

I know this is ridiculous but would you make either of these deals?

to Washington for Soriano and L.Hernandez?

to Marlins for Dontrelle and Cabrera?

I heard the Marlins owner was looking to double his payroll. Makes sense.

A-Rod makes more money than the Florida Marlins which is really sad for the fans of Florida.

Only team that is able to take on A-Rod's salary in the NL, because the Yanks don't want him to burn them in the postseason, is the Mets (and that is Never gonna happen)

hence the opening "I know this is ridiculous"....

trying to get a feel for how much the anti-A-Rod sentiment has grown among Yankee fans without coming out and asking it directly...

able to take on payroll????

virtually every team is able to take on payroll - it's how much the owner wants to spend.

Both those trades are absolutely rediculous.

The Yankees only traded Soriano for Alex Rodriguez but your going to expect Alfonso Soriano PLUS Livan Hernandez to try and get him back? I dont think so. The value of Alex Rodriguez really isnt that great as you might think because of 1) His bloated salary and his 2) Coming up short in the clutch.

And the idea of the Marlins taking on ANY contracts is purely laughable at this point. You want a player like Dontrelle or Cabrera it will cost you some combo of Cano, Cabrera and Phillips or any other top prospect you have most likely.

You would need a big market team looking to make a big splash in the offseason and I wouldnt exactly plan on getting that much in return for him. Except of course 25 million in spare salary that you can improve your team with.

That might be overpaying right now.. then again, we are sort of desperate.

Let me know when your GED paperwork is finalized, then we'll have an "intelligent" discussion.

I wish there was a team dumb enough to trade for him and his enormously over inflated salary but the only team dumb enouhg to make such a move is unfortunately the Yanks.

1. It's moot because neither of those teams want A-Rod... They want young, cheap prospects.

2. No way I would take the first deal.

3. I would take the 2nd deal.

Are you stupid? The Yankees pay him $9 million less than his contract per year. At $16 million, he's a very good deal.
