A little tidbit about the Yankees.

Aside from the Yankees winning their 3rd straight game on the road against the best team in baseball (as the Tigers have been tagged this season due to having the best record).

The Yankees are the only team in baseball right now to have scored over 300 runs with 307.

I could have posted this yesterday when they were at 301 runs scored, I just didn't get around to it.

Considering that the Yankees have been withhout Sheffield and Matsui for over a month, I thought that was pretty impressive.

It's quite impressive. The reason? Melky, Bernie and Andy Phillips have stepped it up when needed. The Melk Man is proving all his doubters wrong and is showing not only how underated he was, but how underated the whole Yankee farm system is.

Sheff is going back on the DL and my man Kevin Thompson is getting the callup thankfully. KT is a solid baseball player that is a real burner. I just hope Joe plays him everyday.

Melky and Andy Phillips stepped up again last night along with the ever reliable Giambi in the 13-5 trouncing of the Sawx!

Can you say 1st place in the AL East?

Anyone who thought the Yankees were toast should have known better.

They have an excellent team and with a little more pitching can go all the way.
