Let's not forget why the Mets are so good this year.

LOL
Mets have a great team this year. Not sure if it's because of or in spite of Willie! |

You forget that we've seen enough of Torre to know it's all about the talent on the field.

The 50-year-old Randolph becomes the third Brooklyn native to manage a major-league team, joining his former Yankees boss, Joe Torre, and colleague, Lee Mazzilli. Randolph was a Mets fan growing up, went to Shea Stadium as a kid and said he "danced in the streets" when the Miracle Mets won the 1969 World Series

Funny thing is, I used to watch Torrie when he played for the Mets along with Felix Neon, Jerry Koosman, Dave Kingman, Rusty Staub and John Mattlock.
God I feel old.

Although Manager is important in baseball....Unlike football coaching. Managing in Baseball is extremely over-rated,

Joe Torre was 15 years removed from his stint with the Mets when he joined the Yankees. So to say that the World Champion 1996, 1998, 1999, and 2000 Yankees owe a debt of gratitude to his "Mets experience" is more than a stretch. It's like saying Art Howe's failure was due to Davey Johnson's success 15 years earlier. No connection then, no connection now. Bottom line: Be proud, Mets fans. Be proud of your team. Be proud of your players. Be proud of your front-office. Be proud of your Yankee heritage. After all, we are. SAR I |

Yankees lose THEEEEEEEEEE YANKEEEEESSSS!!! LOOOOOSSSEEEEEEE!! Get used to that the next year or so. The team is in shambles, they have a lot of work to do with the pitchin staff, and getting in some youth. Its over Baby! |

That's how it is in Yankeeland. We don't worry. It's not like we go 30 years between Championships. That's what happens when you win 25% of all the World Series in baseball history. Once every four years, on average. SAR I |
