lol. my point is that it's all that matters to me is that we stay ahead and win our division. running into a very good team who is very hot........sh*t happens. hopefully we'll take the game tomorrow and not be swept.

no, not really. i explained myself in the other thread. did it matter much that the 2004 yankees came to shea and got swept by a pretty bad mets team? not really right?

you are comparing a perennial winner(the Yankees)to a team that has done nothing so far this year(your mets)..they have won nothing so far..nothing..

I didn't side step anything..my statement is true..this met team has won nothing this year..I am not bragging about the yankees winning tradition, seriously.I am just pointing out that you are comparing a veteran winning team to a first time in 4 years met team(or whatever it is)above .500..thats all..not sidestepping

you still didn't answer the question. did it matter at all that the 2004 yankees came to shea stadium and got swept? matter of fact the yanks record vs. the mets that year was 2-4. did it make one iota of difference?

It was only a matter of time for you to drop the sheep's clothing and show your true self.

We really wanted to help the Yankee's but face it Bosox on a torrid streak and no one can beat them right now. Your club is doing your part and we are not right now. The real sinker for you fans is if we wipe you out when we play you this week-end. Sorry Charlie;

Yeah, the Senior Circuit isn't doing well at all, but what counts is in October, so we'll just keep looking in that direction!

Per Yahoo Sports

Martinez (7-4) allowed eight runs, six earned, and admitted he was caught up in the emotion of the moment. His ERA rose from 3.01 to 3.45.

Only if you are embarrassed by the Yankees less than impressive performance against the cellar dweller if the NL East.
