Mets Sweep Braves! First Time in 22 Years!

Man what is really good about this is that it is kind of a small statement.

We were not playing so great up to this, but it says that when we need to take a big series we can do it.

Granted the Braves are not the best team and they are way out of 1st place, but imagine if we had lost 2 games here? Everyone would be all over saying the Braves are still a better team and they have a shot at the division.

They have been sufficiently stomped out now.

meh, I still hope the mets don't get lazy from the easy division, cause it's gonna hurt them in the playoffs

The Braves were red hot before we played them. Three at their home is devastating for them. It Aug 1 next game.

It's playoff time for us. Tom Glavine had a rough day today. He needs to skip a rotation.

After witnessing countless Mets defeats against the Braves in Atlanta over MANY years... I am estatic today.

The whole neighborhood must've heard me going nuts right after the win today. My next door neighbor rang my door bell and was like "WTF happened ??!!"

Carlos Beltran is slowly becoming my girlfriend's favorite player {it had been Cliff Floyd and David Wright}. We were watching the game together when Beltran hit the grand slam at Wrigley and again yesterday when he hit the slam in Atlanta. She thinks it's all because of her. {lol}

No, because that would be not be genuine change for the positive. I don't have an avatar of Mr. Met kicking Chief Knock-a-homa in the nutz now do I? I am more focused on my team than ridiculing someone else's team.

LOL! Somehow I dont believe the ending part of that post...most Met fans here act like they won a WS sweeping an sub-.500 team. I mean...There must be 3 threads on it..one directed at me. I truly have become a legend here..not in a good way..but the youngest legend in JI history
