Yes, it does. Though I will admit that I told my Yankee fan girlfriend that I'd be surprised if the Yanks didn't win at least 4 out of 5. That's how much confidence I have/had in my Red Sox's pitching staff.

I get the feeling it's in the books. 6 and a half games up, we're getting Matsui and Sheffield back, and Dotel is healthy now. I just got that feeling it's ours. You can probably tell they had to watch out for the people on the Green Monster, looking for any jumpers.

Suck to be a Sox fan .. Congrat to Damon and Abreu for a great series ..

Our pitching sucks .. Sox need a closer that will not give up 3 runs in the 9th

I wouldn't be so quick with Matsui, Melky has been playing great! he's a good bat, very fast on the bases, and has a very strong arm. you're right though, it feels like the pieces are starting to click into place

This was definately ugly for the Sox. Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe said it best in naming the series "Son of the Boston Massacre". For anyone who doesn't know, baseball's "Boston Massacre" happened in 1978 when the Yanks swept the Sox in a 4 game series by obliterating them in 3 of the 4 games.

Actually, that was a market adjustment. 26 Championships vs. 1 Championship seems about good to me.

By the way, your you actually born when the Mets last won a title?

What this series proved was Yankees suck alot less than Sox. Neither of these 2 teams is going anywhere this year. Neither are the Mets for that matter with Glavin gone and Pedro hurting.

just cuz ur an angry lil sox fan dont try to bring the yankees down with u.....this team has chemistry for the first time since 2003.....this team is built to win this yr....great bullpen and a great lineup.....and ill take my chances with moose and wang.....all we need is johnson to pitch decently as our number 3 in the playoffs

The closer is not the problem. It's every other pitcher in that bullpen.
